    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Primary Accountability</p>\n<p>The Radiology Technician is responsible for performing all scheduled or unscheduled x-ray studies, ordered by a licensed provider.</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Responsible for&nbsp;performing x-ray studies, ordered by a licensed provider.\n  <ol>\n   <li>Prepares room, equipment, and necessary paperwork.</li>\n   <li>Prepares the patient for the examination and explains the procedure to the patient.</li>\n   <li>Provides radiation protection for the patient according to prescribed safety standards.</li>\n   <li>Transfers patient to and from x-ray room; positions patient correctly for x-ray being taken.</li>\n   <li>Operates x-ray equipment, selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, thus producing good quality radiographs.</li>\n   <li>Follows protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate and high-quality images.</li>\n   <li>Develops films using automatic processor.</li>\n   <li>Places patient identification and markers on radiographs.</li>\n   <li>Collaborates with Clinicians to provide necessary imaging support for patient care.</li>\n   <li>Reports equipment failures and participates in quality assurance.</li>\n   <li>Inventories and order supplies.</li>\n   <li>Maintains Patient Daily Log.</li>\n  </ol></li>\n <li>Responsible for adhering to the Attendance and Absenteeism Policy, recognizing that regular attendance is considered an essential function of all FHCN positions.&nbsp; Absenteeism is not being at work or failing to attend a paid workshop, training, or event unless the absence is protected by law.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to present to and work at any FHCN location, both at the beginning of a shift or during a shift, based on business need.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Description of Primary Attributes</p>\n<p>General Development:</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Duties require the ability to effectively perform in response to workflow or ongoing direction by supervisors or others.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively select from pre-established alternatives to resolve situations encountered on the job.</li>\n <li>Duties require analysis of information following established methods, not requiring the employee’s own opinions.</li>\n <li>Employee’s focus is primarily on their own work.</li>\n <li>Requires the compilation of information.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Professional &amp; Technical Knowledge:</p>\n<p>Effective June 1, 2026, all individuals hired into the role must:</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Possesses work-related skills at a higher level than completion of high school, including formal written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, mathematical, and technical skills.</li>\n <li>Must have proof of completion of high school with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 or completion of General Educational Development (GED) with a minimum overall score of 162.5 and health care related knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a trade school, para-professional, or certificate type program.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>If an individual has completed a degree at a higher level than required by the role and had a stronger GPA in that program, they may provide proof of GPA from that degree in lieu of the high school diploma or Bachelor’s degree.</li>\n <li>Have a minimum of two years of experience demonstrating knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures, including the operation of X‑ray equipment and an understanding of imaging techniques.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Successful completion of a formal program of education specific to radiology tech and have a Radiology Technologist certification.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Technical Skills:</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word.</li>\n <li>Ability to use Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information.&nbsp;</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Licenses &amp; Certifications:&nbsp;Graduation or completion of an approved program resulting in limited x-ray technician licensure by the state of California.</p>\n<p>Communications Skills:</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Job duties require the employee to effectively communicate complex and/or technical information to co-workers and others.</li>\n <li>Employees are expected to exercise tact and diplomacy in the resolution of mild conflicts or disagreements.</li>\n <li>Requires the effective communication of written information including electronic correspondence.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Bilingual skills preferred.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Physical Demands: Moderate risk even with controls in place (sharp objects, etc.).</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Pay Scale:</p>\n<p>Min Hourly Rate: $30.79</p>\n<p>Max Hourly Rate: $42.49</p>",
