Make copies of drawings and maintain information regarding changes to database. Make simple decisions but refer most questions/problems to Electrical Designers, Engineers, or Supervisor. The BIM Modeler will report to the BIM Manager.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Job Skills:</span></p>\n<p>Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors. Possesses basic math skills and a willingness to commute to remote job sites as needed. Must possess effective communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have experience or ability to become proficient in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage. Needs solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology. Requires mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations. (Familiarity and knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and application of the NEC into electrical design documents are a plus but not preferred or required).</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: black\">Mandatory Hiring Requirements</span><span style=\"color: black\">:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\">References, Background Check, Drug Screen Testing, Valid Driver’s License.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Uses computer assisted design/drafting software to develop project documentation as models and drawings.</li>\n<li>Provides Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination and Electrical modeling activities in Autodesk based software environment.</li>\n<li>Creates and revises project drawings (fabrication and construction).</li>\n<li>Utilizes knowledge of various construction and engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete models and drawings.</li>\n<li>Creates detailed multi-view drawings of assigned projects.</li>\n<li>Creates 3D modeling from 2D drawings.</li>\n<li>Creates 3D modeling from sketches and proposals.</li>\n<li>Serves as a liaison with clients and other contractors regarding drawings and models.</li>\n<li>Attend coordination meetings.</li>\n<li>Occasionally assists with presentations for visualization or animation activities.</li>\n<li>Communicates with Fabrication, Design, Engineering and Construction supervision regarding new and revised prints. Other duties may be assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black; font-weight: bold\">Position Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<p>     •    License: None required.</p>\n<p>     •    Education: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent</p>\n<p>           combination of education and experience.</p>\n<p>     •    Minimum 4 years’ experience as a BIM Modeler preferred.</p>\n<p>     •    Comprehensive knowledge of BIM and project management software: Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM Collaborate Pro, Autodesk Construction Cloud, 3D designs, construction process and construction documentation.</p>\n<p>     •    Detailed understanding in reading 2D construction plans and shop drawings electronically or hard copy.</p>\n<p>     •    Practical knowledge and understanding of electrical codes (NEC).</p>\n<p>     •    Solid understanding of MEP systems and their configuration.</p>\n<p>     •    Experience in the establishment and management of BIM models including orientation, geo-positioning, coordination, and general setup of BIM project models, including exporting of embedded data and schedules from BIM models.</p>\n<p>     •    Ability to take verbal and general written direction well, ability to turn that direction into working constructability documents.</p>\n<p>     •    Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.</p>\n<p>     •    Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.</p>\n<p>     •    Ability to understand technical drawings and construction plans.</p>\n<p>     •    Ability to type, proofread, spell check work without supervision.</p>\n<p>     •    Ability to receive and transmit documents on behalf of the BIM team, either via posting to website or the Internet or via hard copy. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black; font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This is primarily an Office position but periodically requires working in weather elements; heat and cold depending on job location and time of year.</li>\n<li>Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).</li>\n<li>Work in restricted or confined areas such as switch gear-rooms, etc.</li>\n<li>Must wear all personal protective equipment as required.</li>\n<li>Must be able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span style=\"text-decoration: none\"> </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\">R<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">equired Physical/Mental Functions:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: black\">Positively identify colors of wire and other items as required.</span></li>\n<li>Comprehension of construction drawings, schematics, and specifications.</li>\n<li>Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Handbook.</li>\n<li>Operate a company truck if applicable.</li>\n<li>Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions.</li>\n<li>Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction). </li>\n<li>Able to lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 5 pounds.</li>\n<li>Tolerant to prolonged standing and movement on foot.<br></li>\n<li>Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>AAP/EEO Statement:</span></span></p>\n<p><span>Ace Electric, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identification, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other category protected by federal, state, or local law. </span></p>",
