    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>The Construction Services Field Technician performs routine and non-routine testing and observation of construction materials and practices. &nbsp;Work may include the testing and examination of soil, asphalt, concrete, masonry, structural steel and other construction materials. &nbsp;Work may also include the field observation of soil placement and compaction, concrete structural dimensions and rebar placement, asphalt placement, and other construction practices. &nbsp;The Construction Services Field Technician receives supervision and technical support from the Field Supervisor and the Assistant Manager.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Ability to track and organize assigned work,</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Ability to perform routine sampling, testing, and observation,</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Be familiar with good field services practices and definition of Quality,</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Apply formulas for the interpretation and calculation of test results,</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Be proficient at basic computer skills and preparation of field service reports,</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Implement relevant quality control requirements including equipment calibration,</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Interpret project specifications, drawings, and work instructions,</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Handle of customer relations,</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Other duties as directed by the Field Supervisor and Assistant Manager.</p><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;High School diploma or GED</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;ACI, NETTCP, NICET or ODOT certifications are desired</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Experience with weld examination, OSHA/MSHA training, density gauge training, floor fatness testing, soil stabilization, asphalt field and lab testing, deep foundations, asphalt and concrete coring, rammed aggregate piers, are also desired.</p><p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></p><p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;Excellent communication skills</p><p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;Clean driving record</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Strong oral and verbal communication skills</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Good math and language skills</p><p><strong>Reporting Relationships</strong></p><p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;Field Services Supervisor</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Field Services Asst Manager</p><p>&middot; &nbsp;Field Services Manager</p><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><p><u>Physical Ability</u></p><p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;Stand, walk, push, pull, twist, reach overhead, bending, crawling, climbing; lift minimum of 80 pounds</p><p><u>Visual Ability</u></p><p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;Visual accommodation necessary for reading instructions/materials necessary to perform functions of job</p><p><u>Hearing Ability</u></p><p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to monitor sounds for changes in machine function</p><p><u>Work Conditions</u></p><p>&middot; Work exposes the employee to traffic hazards and the hazards of construction sites including dangers of moving heavy equipment, inclement weather conditions, and high noise levels. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EOE/M/F/D/V/Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p></div></div>\n",
