This position will support customer requirements and business development activities. The AE will provide general architectural designs for Data Centers, Telecommunications Central Offices, Switching Centers, Video Hub Offices, etc. and will work directly with the module manufacturing facility to develop a detailed workshop drawing package. The AE will complete the design based on local and international building codes including building type, occupancy classifications, Ingress and Egress requirements, etc. The AE will coordinate the architectural design with structural, electrical, thermal, mechanical and controls engineers requirements. The AE will also participate in Factory and Site Acceptance Testing with a focus on general design concepts.",

    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br>\n &nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as Architectural Engineer (AE) to provide conceptual and detailed design of building architecture in post sales stage.</li>\n <li>Work with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes.</li>\n <li>Detailed design of mechanical parts – wall and floor penetrations, doors and door hardware, Flashing and sealing, water mitigation, etc.</li>\n <li>Create designs which meet or exceed Vertiv quality requirements and fall within budgetary requirements.</li>\n <li>Provide a detailed Schematic Design(SD), Detail Design(DD) and Construction Drawing(CD) narrative for architectural design aspects of the solution&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Review and approve architectural product submittals.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer on thermal transfer calculations (fire ratings and thermal bridges)</li>\n <li>Material specification – architectural and finish</li>\n <li>Work with Vertiv’s business units, Business Partners and preferred vendors to specify the appropriate material specifications and sizes for the fabrication process to succeed.</li>\n <li>Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases.<br>\n  Coordination between structural and civil work design</li>\n <li>Provide technical project coordination with customers and suppliers</li>\n <li>Quality control during execution</li>\n <li>Provide support for all on site module repairs (damaged paint, door malfunction etc.)</li>\n <li>Travel to fabricators facility for design validation and review their workmanship as well as provide engineering evaluations and workmanship audits as needed.May communicate with the customer in order to design the best possible solution for his needs.</li>\n <li>Offer creative, out of the box solutions to the customer.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering or acceptable experience</li>\n <li>Professional engineering (PE) License – optional</li>\n <li>Minimum 2 years of Architectural engineering experience</li>\n <li>Knowledge of local, state, &amp; federal codes governing the installation and use of low voltage switchboards/switchgear.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit</li>\n <li>Proven experience with Microsoft Office Applications</li>\n <li>Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications</li>\n <li>Knowledge and understanding of local and national building codes</li>\n <li>Must be able to interpret customer specification requirements</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to research new designs, technologies and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities</li>\n <li>Ability to think outside the box to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs with no impact on quality, reliability or maintainability.</li>\n <li>Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.</li>\n <li>Detail oriented.</li>\n <li>Proven leadership and problem solving skills.</li>\n <li>Proven Project Management skills<br>\n  &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED</strong><br>\n 10%<br>\n &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>OUR CORE PRINCIPALS:</strong> &nbsp;Safety, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Diversity &amp; Inclusion.</p>\n<p><strong>OUR STRATEGIC PRIORITIES&nbsp;</strong><br>\n Customer Focus&nbsp;<br>\n Operational Excellence&nbsp;<br>\n High-Performance Culture&nbsp;<br>\n Innovation&nbsp;<br>\n Financial Strength</p>\n<p><strong>OUR BEHAVIORS&nbsp;</strong><br>\n Own It&nbsp;<br>\n Act With Urgency&nbsp;<br>\n Foster a Customer-First Mindset&nbsp;<br>\n Think Big and Execute&nbsp;<br>\n Lead by Example&nbsp;<br>\n Drive Continuous Improvement&nbsp;<br>\n Learn and Seek Out Development</p>\n<p>Promote Clear and Transparent Communication</p>\n<p>Vertiv is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
