font-size: 16px;'><strong>POSITION OVERVIEW:</strong></span></p><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Under the general direction of the Manager, Asset Management, this position encompasses electrical engineering duties for grid power quality focusing on our transmission and distribution system. &nbsp;The Power System Quality Engineer will work closely with the asset management group and other departments to address various grid power quality issues.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><strong>GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Understand one-lines, three-lines, schematic diagrams, wiring and connection diagrams for area of Engineering focus.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Perform project management responsibilities, where applicable, including fiscal control, reporting and closing of projects.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Understand the use of technical test equipment and oversight of the associated data and results.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Interact with area field personnel, providing Engineering oversight and technical assistance as needed.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Understand applicable standards and regulations per specific focus area of Electrical Engineering.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Power System Quality Engineer</span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Investigate, analyze, and perform field tests as needed in order to solve power quality related problems at customer or developer locations.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Assess power quality parameters such as voltage fluctuations, harmonics, power factor, and T&amp;D transients.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Perform post-fault analysis of T&amp;D system events.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Troubleshoot and determine root cause for power quality issues.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Maintain compliance with various regulations and standards including MPUC Ch. 320, ANSI C84.1, IEEE 1547, etc.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Provide input to help standardize equipment type and needs.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Advance DER integration by performing analysis to assist in development of utility best practice of interconnections.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Work closely with others in the department and those necessary in other areas of the Company to facilitate the development of short-term and long-term system power quality strategy, planning, and project development for electric system equipment.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in various electrical engineering areas and provides support for engineers and various departments, including - Asset Management, PST, DG and AMI as necessary.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Company&rsquo;s reliability statistics.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Work closely with the Company&rsquo;s Engineering and Operations groups along with other departments to develop short- and long-term projects for the company&rsquo;s capital plan related to power system quality.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Responsible for prioritizing projects and creating project forecasts for the development of the Company&#39;s short- and long-term capital plans.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Prepare or coordinate the preparation of periodic data submittals and reports related to management of the Company&#39;s assets as required by internal or external entities as deemed necessary (ex MPUC, FERC, NERC, Executive, BOD).</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Perform analysis in support of the Company strategy regarding grid modernization, system reliability, safety, or other business objectives.</li></ul><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><strong>REQUIRED OR PREFERRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</strong></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Five years of T&amp;D Engineering preferred.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Experience with PC based software including excel spreadsheets preferred. &nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif;
