Role Overview The Recruiter, India will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for Armstrong’s India operations. This role partners closely with hiring managers to attract, assess, and onboard high-quality talent while ensuring an excellent candidate experience. The role will support recruitment across engineering, operations, and functional roles, managing everything from sourcing and interviewing through onboarding and exit coordination. The ideal candidate brings experience in engineering or manufacturing recruitment, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to deliver results with speed and quality. In this role, you will have the following key accountabilities: Key Accountabilities Execute the End-to-end Recruitment Cycle Process Design and implement recruitment strategies tailored to attract top talent across various roles and disciplines. Proactively search for candidates on LinkedIn, Indeed, and other professional networks, ensuring significant volumes of outreach are managed efficiently. Utilize myArmstrong to post job openings, track applications, and manage the recruitment pipeline. Ensure job descriptions on the Armstrong website and job boards are accurate and up to date. Shortlist candidates and conduct interviews, making data-driven recommendations to hiring managers and Human Resource Business Partners. Coordinate with hiring managers and panel members to ensure timely scheduling of interviews and process progression. Prepare and help with job offer negotiations, effectively communicating salary structures, benefits, and other details. Align recruitment practices with regional regulatory requirements Conduct Candidate Screening and Compliance Checks Perform thorough candidate screenings, including reference checks, driving license verifications, and right-to-work validations, if applicable. Share compliance documentation with the HR team for onboarding and record-keeping through HRIS. Screen candidates for willingness to meet role-specific requirements, such as working on-site five days a week. Address compliance with regional government regulations and organizational policies for specific roles. Ensure Excellence in Candidate Experience and Recruitment Outcomes Build candidate engagement by addressing inquiries and providing clear timelines during the recruitment cycle. Offer market insights to Human Resource Business Partners and hiring managers, including candidate availability, going rates, and flexibility for roles. Deliver recommendations on candidates, recruitment strategies, and agency selections. Balance candidate expectations with organizational flexibility while ensuring alignment with market trends. Oversee Recruitment Operations According to Region-specific Practices and Regulations Address regional complexities, such as salary structure practices and the absence of legal entities in specific regions. Update and maintain candidate information for third-party vendors operating in regions without legal entities. Collaborate with hiring managers and regional stakeholders to manage roles with local restrictions or unique requirements. Introduce local inputs and improvements to hiring processes to align with region-specific requirements. Address process gaps and operate effectively with limited information in smaller regions or offices. Manage Relationships with Recruitment Agencies and Reduce Agency Hiring Costs Negotiate terms of business, payment periods, refunds, and other contractual agreements with recruitment agencies. Evaluate and recommend agency partners for specific positions, balancing cost and effectiveness. Build and maintain strong relationships with agency representatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Support Other Project Initiatives and HR Activities Facilitate onboarding by connecting new hires with teams and ensuring they feel welcomed and informed about organizational processes, especially on the first day. Consolidate vendor data into detailed reports or catalogs to support recruitment transparency and efficiency. Provide coverage for Human Resource Business Partner tasks during peak periods, including reference checks and onboarding support. Collaborate on the implementation or improvement of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), incorporating local inputs and streamlining hiring processes for the region. Address location-specific complications and execute steps to resolve challenges. What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you should bring: Education and Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (mandatory). Experience: 3–5 years of end-to-end recruitment experience, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, HVAC or technology industries. Soft Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including basic Excel skills. Familiarity with HRIS (preferably BambooHR), Payroll Systems (e.g., Payworks, ADP), and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Strong understanding of technical and functional hiring requirements. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple hiring priorities in a fast-paced environment.
