    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Tradesmen International</strong> is immediately hiring experienced <strong>Bridge Fabrication Structural Fitters/Welders</strong> for projects located in the <strong>Olean, NY area</strong>. This is a second shift opportunity, and the pay rate is <strong>$45/hour</strong> plus <strong>$125/day per diem</strong> for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Per diem is paid all 7 days of the week if you work the full schedule. If you are a Structural Fitter/Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Job Scope:</u></strong>       </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fit and assemble structural bridge components in a fabrication shop environment</li>\n <li>Read blueprints and WPS sheets to lay out and fit beams, plate girders, stiffeners, diaphragms, splice plates, and other structural members</li>\n <li>Measure, mark, and align heavy steel to required tolerances prior to welding</li>\n <li>Use fitting tools such as clamps, wedges, strongbacks, chain falls, and come-alongs to position components for weld-out</li>\n <li>Verify joint prep, alignment, and fit-up before welding operations begin</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years welding experience in a bridge fabrication shop</li>\n <li>Extensive experience fitting heavy structural steel used in bridge construction</li>\n <li>Ability to perform precise layout and fit-up directly from blueprints and WPS sheets</li>\n <li>Execute welds in compliance with AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code standards</li>\n <li>Pass on-site 3G FCAW weld test subject to bend and X-ray inspection to meet NYS DOT requirements</li>\n <li>Ability to read and work from blueprints and WPS sheets with minimal supervision</li>\n <li>Experience with multi-pass welding on heavy plate and structural members</li>\n <li>Ability to consistently maintain weld quality that meets visual and NYS DOT requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Details</h2>\n<p>Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry. </p>\n<p>Our comprehensive benefits include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Tradesmen+ Rewards Program – earn points for hours worked</li>\n <li>Vacation Pay</li>\n <li>Health insurance</li>\n <li>401(k) retirement savings plan</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Tradesmen International is an EO employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>“<strong>Be Safe” from fraud!</strong>  Tradesmen International will never ask you to pay for certifications, equipment, or other “up front”  costs as a condition of hire.
