By catalyzing first-hand insights and data into value-driven action, we partner with clients to build lasting capabilities, address operations pain points and deliver world class results.</p><p><br></p><p>The Equipment Validation Sample Technician’s primary role is to interface with the CruzAlta team leads as well as clients to meet the objectives of the Equipment Validation contract. The technicians will work in teams collecting required process samples as well as delivering the samples to the testing lab in a timely manner.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities/Expectations</strong></p><p><br></p><p>1. Support the CruzAlta Equipment Validation team with the following tasks.</p><p>a. Work under the direct supervision of the EV Project lead for the duration of the execution.</p><p>b. Assist with setting up and staging the lab equipment that will be part of the EV support.</p><p>c. Walking out piping circuits to identify and tag sample locations.</p><p>d. Be able to catch samples in the field at locations identified as part of the project scope.</p><p>e. Might possibly communicate with site contractors (mechanical fitters) as they support any changes to equipment in the field that will support the objective of the project. Sample locations, utility’s location etc.</p><p>f. Be able to climb and spend significant time in the field to support the client / project objectives.</p><p>g. Be able to support troubleshooting and help solve problems relative to diagnosing cross contamination potential where identified by sample condition data.</p><p>h. Have a basic level of competency when it comes to hazard recognition and basic safety protocol to ensure, we maintain safety vigilance in a petrochemical / refinery environment.</p><p>i. Assists Project Lead as requested.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities (Direct and indirect)</strong></p><p><br></p><p>None. Will report to the Project Lead on site for the duration of the execution support.</p>",

Preference is given to those with process knowledge of upgrader, refinery, or petrochemical units.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Certificates and/or Licenses</strong></p><p><br></p><p>· Valid driver’s license</p><p>· TWIC Card</p><p>· Basic Plus</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p><p>The Company requires passing a pre-employment physical in which an objective medical professional will determine whether you can safely meet the physical demands of the position.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Duration of Workhours During Project Executions:</u></p><p>· Typically, 12 continuous hours that may extend up to 16 – 18 hours if an emergent need exists, for up to 14 days in a row.</p><p>· Day shift and/or night shift.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Working Conditions During Project Executions:</u></p><p>· Uneven or unstable ground, and wet, muddy, or slippery surfaces and footings.</p><p>· Outside locations in extreme temperatures and weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, and other forms of inclement weather.</p><p>· Routine, intermittent exposure to noise more than 85 dBA-TWA.</p><p>· Environments that may necessitate the use of respiratory protection for the shift duration.</p><p>§ Half-face, full-face, and/or supplied air</p><p>§ Medical clearance to use respiratory protection is required.</p><p>§ Quantitative fit testing for specific respiratory protection is required.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><p><br></p><p>· Work at heights up to 150 ft/ 45m accessed via stairs, climbing ladders, or critical lifts by cranes. This requires an ability to climb ladders and stairs without issue.</p><p>· Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs., without assistance.</p><p>· Pushing / pulling up to 100 lbs., without assistance.</p><p>· Standing and walking for up to 12 to 16 hours daily with minimal rest breaks.
