Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist engineers in the research, design, development, testing, manufacturing, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment specific to configuration end items with defined structural definition</li>\n <li>Provide research and engineering investigation services/prototype builds for integration of replacement COTS components that sustain life cycle performance and add technological capability to the current product</li>\n <li>Build up the assemblies of the system components using all meaning of interconnect technologies to insert into the next higher assembly</li>\n <li>Support the maintenance and update of the technical drawings, schematics, and documentation required for production, testing, and operational use and maintenance</li>\n <li>Conduct qualitative testing of all system equipment and components using a variety of specialized measuring and test devices. </li>\n <li>Ensure the proper installation and functioning of components and systems as each assembly is built and connected to the next higher sys-assembly</li>\n <li>Work within a team setting to meet build schedules in support of deploying systems</li>\n <li>Perform depot level maintenance and repair of equipment and field service support as needed</li>\n <li>Collect and analyze data to confirm that the equipment meets design specifications and safety standards</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Cleared at the DoD Secret level</li>\n <li>3 - 7 years’ experience in a position(s) conducting the electrical technician skills defined above</li>\n <li>2 years of recent engineering support experience</li>\n <li>Direct experience in soldering and building common connection types for interconnects of electronic components</li>\n <li>Direct experience with electronic systems test equipment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Additional Experience/Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Former Aviation Technical or Ships Electronics technician</li>\n <li>Radio Frequency/Electronic Warfare system sustainment/maintenance</li>\n <li>Proficient in system simulation and modeling tools, including MATLAB and RF signal analysis tools</li>\n <li>Ability to lead classified and sensitive military programs</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership in risk assessment, problem resolution, and optimizing mission-critical systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Degree: </strong>AA or Technical certificate in electronics, Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical discipline. </p>\n<p><strong>ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: </strong>An additional 2 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for an AA degree.</p>\n<p><strong>SECURITY CLEARANCE – DoD SECRET</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Condition of Employment:</strong> Applicant must hold an active DoD SECRET clearance.
