Engineer Transportation, Cedar Rapids Office</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Project Management & Delivery</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead roadway and transportation projects through planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction support phases</li>\n <li>Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and client expectations</li>\n <li>Develop project management plans, QA/QC plans, schedules, and resource strategies to ensure successful project delivery</li>\n <li>Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed</li>\n <li>Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements and agency standards</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Roadway Design & Technical Leadership</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical oversight for roadway design projects utilizing OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and related transportation design software</li>\n <li>Review roadway geometrics, drainage designs, traffic considerations, staging plans, and construction documentation</li>\n <li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, safe, and cost-effective transportation solutions</li>\n <li>Support quality control reviews and ensure compliance with DOT and local agency standards</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Client Relationship Management</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and project stakeholders</li>\n <li>Lead project meetings, presentations, and stakeholder coordination efforts</li>\n <li>Communicate project status, scope changes, schedules, and budgets effectively</li>\n <li>Build and maintain strong relationships with state DOTs, counties, municipalities, and other opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>6+ years of transportation engineering and project management experience</li>\n <li>Experience managing roadway design projects for state and local transportation agencies preferred</li>\n <li>Experience utilizing OpenRoads Designer (ORD) for roadway design required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licensure</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong understanding of roadway design principles, transportation engineering practices, and DOT standards</li>\n <li>Advanced proficiency with OpenRoads Designer (ORD), MicroStation, and related roadway design software</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources</li>\n <li>Strong client relationship management and business development skills</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication abilities</li>\n <li>Proven leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment</li>\n <li>Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving
