This is more than a supervisory role — it’s an opportunity to provide technical leadership, drive program excellence, and support continuous improvement across Acuren’s tank inspection services.</p>\n<h3>Position Information</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Oversees API-653 in-service tank inspections and API-650 construction and repair activities</p></li>\n <li><p>Acts as Acuren’s subject-matter expert for storage tank inspection, integrity assessment, and applicable regulatory and industry codes</p></li>\n <li><p>Provides technical and administrative oversight for tank inspection programs across the Prairies Region</p></li>\n <li><p>Leads and supports Tank Inspectors and project personnel through strong technical guidance and leadership</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Position needs. </p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><p>Overtime: Available</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h4>Leadership & Program Oversight</h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Supervise Tank Inspectors and project personnel performing API-653 and API-650 inspection, repair, and construction activities.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to inspection teams across the Prairies Region.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure compliance with Acuren policies, client PEIM/IMS systems, and applicable codes and regulatory requirements.</p></li>\n <li><p>Oversee documentation, workflows, and technical processes supporting tank inspection and integrity programs.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Technical Quality & Review</h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Review and approve API-653 inspection reports, repair recommendations, and inspection work packages.</p></li>\n <li><p>Validate technical assessments and calculations, including corrosion rates, remaining life, minimum thickness, hydrotest requirements, and settlement or out-of-roundness evaluations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop, maintain, and continuously improve tank inspection procedures, work instructions, and best-practice guidelines.</p></li>\n <li><p>Prepare training materials and deliver technical training to inspectors and operations personnel as required.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Inspection & Field Activities</h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Conduct periodic audits of in-service tank inspections, construction projects, repair activities, and associated NDE work.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support the development of inspection plans, scopes of work, and repair or mitigation strategies.</p></li>\n <li><p>Coordinate resources for tank internal and external inspections, repairs, and construction oversight activities.</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analyses related to tank integrity issues or non-conformances.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Client & Project Support</h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Oversees the execution of tank inspection projects from scope development and quoting through field execution, reporting, and close-out. </p></li>\n <li><p>Act as the primary technical point of contact for tank integrity and inspection matters within the assigned region.</p></li>\n <li><p>Attend client meetings, provide status updates, and communicate inspection findings and recommendations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support proposal development through technical input, scope clarification, and cost estimation.</p></li>\n <li><p>Build and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term program success.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Growth & Continuous Improvement</h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Collaborate with the Commercial team to identify growth opportunities and support business development initiatives.</p></li>\n <li><p>Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and code updates to strengthen Acuren’s tank inspection programs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and technical execution.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support corporate initiatives related to quality management, risk reduction, and operational excellence.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<p>The requirements listed below represent the expected level of knowledge and capability for this role.</p>\n<h3>Mandatory</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>API-653 – Above-Ground Storage Tank Inspector</p></li>\n <li><p>Valid CSO/CSTS (or equivalent Safety Orientation Certification)</p></li>\n <li><p>Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Knowledge</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced technical knowledge in the following areas:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>API-653 in-service tank inspection requirements, including fitness-for-service principles, corrosion mechanisms (API 571), settlement evaluation, and repair assessment criteria.</p></li>\n <li><p>API-650 tank construction standards, welding requirements, NDE methods, and tank repair or alteration activities in accordance with API-653 and industry best practices.</p></li>\n <li><p>Interpretation of 3D laser scan data to assess settlement, shell out-of-roundness, peaking, banding, and denting, and to determine compliance with API-653 acceptance criteria.</p></li>\n <li><p>Related codes and regulations, including API 510, API-570, CSA/ULC standards, provincial storage tank regulations, and owner-specific integrity programs.</p></li>\n <li><p>QA/QC processes, welding inspection, procedure qualification, and construction oversight for new builds, retrofits, and major repairs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Risk-based inspection (RBI) principles, inspection planning, and integrity-based decision making.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Skills</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Strong technical writing skills for producing inspection reports, procedures, presentations, and repair recommendations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Excellent ability to interpret drawings, weld maps, inspection records, NDE results, and engineering assessments.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proven leadership and team supervision skills, including coaching, performance management, and workload coordination.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with inspectors, engineers, project managers, clients, and contractors.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proficiency with Excel-based reporting tools, macros, digital inspection platforms, 3D scan review software, and data management systems.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Abilities</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Ability to lead inspection teams and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to review, validate, and approve complex inspection reports and technical documentation.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to conduct field audits to verify adherence to safety, quality, and integrity requirements.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to manage multiple tank inspection projects across geographically dispersed client sites.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to work in industrial environments, including heights, confined spaces, and active
