The senior analyst would be called upon to analyze metallic, reinforced concrete and soil-subgrade supported structures.</p><p>Typical analyses include:</p><ul><li>Static and dynamic finite element modeling and analyses using ANSYS</li><li>Modeling and analyses of structural impacts and target response using LS-DYNA</li><li>Simulation of the seismic response of freestanding structures in air or submerged in water</li><li>Static and dynamic analyses of large reinforce concrete structures</li><li>Soil-structure analyses with freestanding and/or anchored structures</li></ul><p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p><ul><li>Applicant must possess a BS in mechanical/civil/structural engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience. MS will count for 2 years of experience and Ph.D. will count for 5 years of experience (experience from MS and Ph.D. cannot be combined)</li><li>Familiarity with standard industry and design codes/manuals such as ASME, ASCE, ACI and AISC</li><li>Must possess excellent credentials in principles of solid mechanics</li><li>Must possess excellent technical writing and communication skills</li></ul><p>DESIRED SKILLS</p><ul><li>Academic or industrial experience in the latest stress analysis codes such as ANSYS or LS-DYNA or GT STRUDL</li><li>Prior nuclear industry experience including interactions with NRC or other regulatory authorities</li></ul>\n    </div>\n  \n",
