    "description": "<h2>Basic Qualifications </h2>\n<p>General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), a market leader and technology innovator, is seeking talented professionals to deliver cutting edge solutions to our customers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities for this Position</h2>\n<p><strong>General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), a market leader and technology innovator, is seeking talented professionals to deliver cutting edge solutions to our customers.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SUMMARY:</strong>  Install, maintain and repair all types of electrical, incidental electronics, and mechanical equipment to achieve program and business objectives in a timely and quality manner.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong>  (Including the following, but are not limited to) </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain and repair electrical equipment and installation, modify and /or make repairs to electrical and mechanical parts to correct operational deficiencies.</li>\n <li>Carryout a preventive maintenance program for equipment involved in accordance with approved instructions.</li>\n <li>Read, interpret and work to; drawings, schematics, wiring lists and diagrams, work instructions, sketches, work tasks and verbal directions.</li>\n <li>Perform related duties as required.</li>\n <li>Set up and maintain workstations and related materials, control of age controlled items and hazardous materials and consumables.</li>\n <li>May give work direction/training to other employees as assigned.</li>\n <li>Must have a Massachusetts Reg. Journeyman Electricians License.</li>\n <li>Must be able to maintain the certificates, licenses and registrations required for their positions as defined in the qualifications below.</li>\n <li>Maintain the work area and perform duties in a safe manner</li>\n <li>Computer skills: Ability to operate various computer programs related to their position for time recording, machine systems and business instructions. </li>\n <li>Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY </strong></p>\n<p>This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS  </strong></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform and essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS  </strong></p>\n<p>Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute ratios, percent and interpret graphs.  Also, must be able to do trigonometric functions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS</strong></p>\n<p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>REASONING ABILITY</strong></p>\n<p>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.  Ability to question instructions when they are unclear.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and climb stairs and ladders or to use hands to feel; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and talk and hear for 8 hours a day.  The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds without mechanical assistance.  Job requires good eye hand coordination and high degree of manual dexterity.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Also, capable of operating a man lift to a height of 40 feet.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></p>\n<p>The work environment characteristics descried here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to some variation in work area temperature, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and potentially toxic or caustic chemicals.  The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock and vibration.  The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.</p>\n<h2>Salary Note</h2>This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
