HealthFirst Family Care Center , a Certified Great Place to Work® and a wonderful place to make a difference, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team of mission-minded healthcare professionals, supporting our psychiatric nurse practitioner by working in our Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and psychiatric programs .
This position is 32-34 hours/week with a schedule of Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays . Unlike most of our other Medical Assistant positions, there are no late night coverage expectations for this position.
Who you are: You’re a compassionate, highly organized Medical Assistant with a passion for making care more accessible, especially for those navigating substance use recovery. You're certified, confident with EMRs, experienced in phlebotomy and clinical support, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-centered environment. You know how to keep patients at ease, and you understand that kindness, consistency, and communication go a long way in helping people heal. You’re reliable, flexible, and driven by a deep sense of purpose.

What you’ll do: Support MAT and psych patients by prepping for visits, documenting vitals, and coordinating follow-ups Perform phlebotomy, administer medications and vaccines, and assist during exams Track patient progress and maintain accurate records Work closely with providers, pharmacies, and insurers to coordinate care Order, track, and reconcile medication Process prior authorizations for medication Champion quality improvement and patient satisfaction every step of the way
