This position requires precision and attention to detail to ensure accurate imaging that aids physicians in diagnosing and treating patients effectively. The technician is responsible for preparing patients for scans, explaining procedures to alleviate concerns, and ensuring patient safety throughout the imaging process. They collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and accurate diagnostic information. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to patient care by providing essential imaging services that support clinical decision-making.</p><p><strong>Shift: PRN</strong></p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with a focus on CT imaging.</li><li>Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.</li><li>Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of employment.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of CT imaging techniques, radiation safety, and patient care standards.</li><li>Basic life support (BLS) certification.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Advanced certification in CT imaging (ARRT-CT) or equivalent specialized credentials.</li><li>Experience working in a hospital or clinical radiology department.</li><li>Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS) software.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with experience in patient education and support.</li><li>Additional certifications in MRI or other imaging modalities.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Operate CT scanners and other radiology imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images according to established protocols.</li><li>Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.</li><li>Review images for quality and clarity, making adjustments as necessary to obtain optimal diagnostic results.</li><li>Maintain detailed patient records and imaging logs in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.</li><li>Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to discuss imaging results and assist in further diagnostic processes.</li><li>Ensure all imaging equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning according to safety standards.</li><li>Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.</li><li>Provide clear communication to patients regarding procedures, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><p>The CT Technologist utilizes technical skills daily to operate complex imaging machinery and ensure the production of clear, diagnostic-quality images.
