ELECTRICAL RELIABILITY SUPERINTENDENT
Location: Rotating Takoradi & Prestea , Western Region, Ghana (West Africa)
Report Directly to: Electrical Engineering Manager
OBJECTIVE: The Electrical Reliability Superintendent will be responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risks that could adversely affect the operations of the gas facilities (gas conditioning and processing plan and gas terminal)s . The Electrical Reliability Superintendent will ensure the availability of assets and the overall reliability of the facilities (equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, and safety/security systems) through good practices of monitoring and maintenance. This role is crucial in maintaining operational integrity and efficiency and reducing downtime.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Operational Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the R eliability T eam s to ensure the plant is maintained efficiently and safely. Assist the Plant Manager s to develop planned maintenance with the use of CMMS.
Safety & Compliance: Establish and enforce safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and compliant facility.
Process Optimization : Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, energy efficiency, and cost reduction.
Budget Management: Support the Plant Manager s to d evelop and manage the plant's operational budget, including cost control and expenditure forecasting.
Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and ensure all staff are trained for effective response to incidents.
Reporting: Support the Plant Manager s to p repare regular reports for senior management and the client , detailing plant performance, safety, and compliance metrics.
ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT & CONSTRUCTION (EPC)
Assist the EPC Project Team during the Construction, Installation and Commissioning Phase :
Review Authorized F or Construction drawings (AFCs), P&IDs, and commissioning checklists.
Review all Red Lines and As Built Drawings to confirm accuracy and compliance with original designs and modifications.
Supervise the completion of installation tasks during the construction phase, while ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
Make recommendations to the HSE T eam to develop strategies to improve health, safety, and environmental standards at all production systems.
Ensure that warranty and punch list issues are effectively managed after commissioning of the plant.
Ensure adherence with quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) standards .
OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE (OM)
Ensure the reliability and maintainability of installations. Responsible for adhering to the life cycle asset management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of assets :
Inlet-Outlet Module: Gas Inlet Separation (PP01 & PP03) Systems .
Cryogenic Module: Amine Systems, De-Hydration Systems, Pre-Cooling Systems, Cryogenic Systems .
Fractionation Module: Fractionation Systems, Refrigeration Systems, BoG Recovery Systems .
Utilities Module: Power Generation Systems, Natural Gas Compressor Systems, Air Compression Systems, Hot Oil Systems, Fire & Gas Systems, Circulating Cooling Water Systems .
Terminal Module: Flare Gas Systems, Storage Systems, Export (Loading) Systems and Emergency Shutdown Systems.
Liquefied Natural Gas Compression Systems .
All other Electrical systems associated with the equipment, systems and modules listed above.
Responsible for designing, developing, monitoring , and refining an
asset maintenance plan that includes:
Value-added predictive, proactive, preventive , and corrective maintenance tasks .
Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
Ensure the optimum utilization of the C M MS.
Provide input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact the plant operations.
Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect the plant operations (capacity, quality, cost , or regulatory compliance issues):
Statistical process control .
Reliability modeling and prediction .
Fault tree analysis .
Root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause failure analysis (RCFA) .
Failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system ( FRACAS ) .
Work with the O perations T eam to perform analys i s of assets including:
QUALIFICATIONS :
BSc in Electrical, Electromechanical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
Master in Engineering , Business, or Management, is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE :
A minimum of 8 + years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in gas facilities .
A minimum of 6 + years of post - qualification experience and competence in gas conditioning / processing plant management and reliability processes .
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants, including Process Safety Management, OSHA regulations, EPA regulations, EEOC guidelines, and other federal and local requirements.
Familiarity with Instrumentation and Industrial Automation, Supervision Systems (SCADA and HMI), PLC-PAC programming, and industrial networks.
