LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles.

Manager, IBC/MPC Planning:
The Broadcast Integration (BRS) team’s aim is to support the Olympic Broadcasting Service (OBS) in the preparation and planning of the most seamless, innovative, and engaging Games experience ever for athletes, team officials, and delegation members.
The BRS team is responsible for delivering high-quality facilities and services to Media Rights Holders and the Olympic Broadcasting Service to ensure the best possible media coverage of the Games for the widest possible audience. This team liaises closely with OBS to manage planning processes related to broadcasting the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This includes agreeing on procedures, hosting meetings and workshops, and conducting surveys—all of which are developed in full coordination with OBS and LA28 Broadcast Services. In addition, the Broadcast Services team is the main point of contact for other LA28 functional areas concerning all broadcast matters.
These matters include the successful delivery of all infrastructure at competition venues and the International Broadcast Center (IBC) to enable Games coverage. They also involve delivering services to OBS and Media Rights Holders to support their operations, such as accommodation, accreditation, transportation, technology, technical support, warehousing, permitting, and medical services during the Games.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Broadcast Services, this person will be responsible for coordinating the planning and delivery of the International Broadcast Center (IBC) and Main Press Center (MPC), ensuring that both facilities meet all operational, technical, and service-related requirements. To advance planning, this role will collaborate across internal departments, external stakeholders, partner entities, and consultants to enable and deliver all broadcast and press services in the lead-up to and throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Key Responsibilities:
Venue Planning & Design Coordination
Support the development and delivery of venue planning for the International Broadcast Center (IBC) and Main Press Center (MPC), ensuring all operational requirements are captured and integrated
Serve as the primary liaison with third-party designers to translate functional needs into venue layouts, infrastructure, and services
Coordinate the design review process, including feedback from internal and external stakeholders to ensure venues are fit-for-purpose
Cross-Functional Integration
Collaborate with Functional Areas including Transportation, Accreditation, Language Services, Government, and others to define and deliver IBC/MPC services
Ensure venue planning aligns with broader Games-time strategies and supports a seamless experience for broadcasters and press
Support integration of media-specific services in coordination with OBS and the IOC, including press requirements at the MPC
Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with Press Operations and other internal teams to confirm that the MPC meets IOC media standards and supports a productive working environment for press
Support coordination with OBS, LA28 internal teams, and venue operations staff to ensure alignment throughout the planning and implementation process
Maintain strong communication with third-party venue designers and ensure stakeholder input is incorporated into final plans
Operational Planning & Readiness
Assist in developing operational procedures for IBC and MPC, including Games-time operations, service levels, access, and issue management
Support readiness activities including table-top exercises, site walkthroughs, and test events
Monitor planning milestones and proactively escalate risks or challenges that may impact delivery
Background & Qualifications:
Minimu m 5+ year s of relevant industry experience, preferably wit h 7+ ye ars of experience supporting large-scale event planning, venue operations, or facilities coordination
Experience with basic construction or venue fit-out processes and timelines, especially in relation to planning for service installations and spatial requirements
Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and proven success at building excellent working relationships
Experience working across multiple functional areas Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making. Experience implementing communication strategies that are accessible and inclusive to a diverse audience, including considerations for language diversity and accessibility for people with disabilities.
Strong planning, coordination, and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate operational needs into venue design terms and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to understand architectural drawings and venue layouts to help inform planning conversations
Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to resolve issues
Fluent working with Office suite products including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Self-starter with experience in defining tasks, seeking feedback, and evolving work where applicable
A collaborative mindset: someone who prioritizes the team and fosters a culture of high performance without ego and works to promote DEIB values in all operations

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office
The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
Some travel may be required, both domestically and internationally
Working hours may vary to accommodate different time zones in specific regions.

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000-$115,000 . The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
