Description Work Schedule: 100% FTE; Day Shift. Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Be part of something remarkable Provide security staff with the skills to detect potential threats and implement effective workplace safety interventions. We are seeking a Workplace Violence Prevention Consultant to: Implement workplace violence prevention programs with a focus on evidence based de escalation strategies for both clinical and non clinical healthcare employees. Deliver specialized training for security personnel, including advanced de escalation techniques, conflict resolution skills, and appropriate use of control and intervention strategies. Develop, update, and manage training materials—presentations, handouts, e learning modules, and job aids—to support continuous workforce education. Conduct incident debriefings following workplace violence events and create actionable improvement plans to enhance future responses. Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance are integrated into prevention initiatives. Actively participate in the Workplace Violence Prevention Committee, presenting data, program activities, progress updates, and strategic recommendations. Required Experience in training program development and facilitation, preferably in workplace violence prevention, conflict resolution, or de-escalation techniques.
