    "jobDescription": "<p>Investment Operations Associate (Energy Transition)</p><p><span>Who You’ll Work With:</span></p><p>This position will report to a Director of Investment Operations but will also require close working relationships across the firm.</p><p><span>What You’ll Do:</span></p><p>Operational Management – 60 %</p><ul><li>Provide day-to-day operational input on energy transition investment transactions</li><li>Quickly evaluate complex situations that arise and use good judgement to propose solutions</li><li>Engage with and interpret detailed energy transition investment transaction legal documents</li><li><span>Monthly updating of models; production and booking of discounted cashflow valuations and IRRs</span></li><li>Effectively manage be-spoke complex financing agreements, including oversight of monthly construction draws</li><li>Independently review and book fundings and distributions on energy transition investments</li><li>Set up new deal structures, manage existing deal structures</li><li>Complete due diligence and audit requests by working with appropriate partners</li><li>Coordinate and manage all aspects of tracking energy transition transactions in AB CarVal’s systems</li><li>Respond to internal and external queries regarding energy transition investment transactions throughout their life-cycle</li></ul><p></p><p>Business Partnering – 40 %</p><ul><li>Collaborate with the AB CarVal energy transition commercial team and external energy transition projects’ partners</li><li>Provide input on energy transition investment transaction documentation alongside AB CarVal energy transition commercial team</li></ul><ul><li>Make judgement based decisions related to the operations function and assume responsibility for the impact to the business</li><li>Understand key areas of the energy transition investment transactions/business and anticipate potential issues; proactively communicate solutions to others within the team or management</li><li>Assist with collateral management and project by project review/analysis/milestoning within energy transition investment transactions</li></ul><p></p><p><span>What We’re Looking For:</span></p><p>Required:</p><p></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related industry</li><li>2 - 4 years accounting/finance experience</li><li>Good Excel skills including data modelling and analysis</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge and mechanics of lending instruments, legal documents and structures</li><li>Strong work ethic and commitment to a high standard of excellence</li><li>Proven ability to balance multiple assignments and manage quality, accuracy, and consistency of each work product</li><li>A self-starter with the ability to follow through and complete tasks in a highly intellectual, collaborative environment</li><li>High level verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong drive for results with both detailed and practical focus.</li><li>Strong analytical/problem solving skills</li><li>Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment, partnering with commercial team</li><li>Ability to travel on business</li></ul><p>Preferred:</p><ul><li>Qualified Accountant</li><li>Experience with renewable energy investments, transactions, asset management terms and concepts</li><li>Experience working in an alternative investment fund manager or similar industry</li><li>Public accounting or Financial Services experience</li><li>Demonstrated initiative in communicating issues and concepts to multiple groups at multiple levels</li><li>Knowledge and/or experience with conducting audits and due diligence of external companies</li></ul><p><b><span>Who We Are:</span></b></p><p><u><span>About AB CarVal</span></u></p><p>AB CarVal is an established global alternative investment manager and part of AllianceBernstein’s Private Alternatives business.
