A staff-level engineer's differentiating trait is the execution of tasks that involve substantial complexity and require coordination between multiple software engineers or across different teams.<br><br>The following requirements are MUST<strong> </strong>for this staff-level position:</span><ul><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">At least 8 years of professional experience in at least two of the following domains:<ul><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Space flight software</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Space payload software</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Embedded software</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Real-time mission-critical software</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Mission control software</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Software validation and verification</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Product Assurance, RAMS, security</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Development tools and infrastructure</li></ul></li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Ownership of challenging technical topics</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Very good communication and collaboration skills. </li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Strong ability to work independently while at the same time staying aligned with the existing software architecture, the team's development vector, and, very importantly, the customer needs.</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Focus on detail, quality, and testing</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Experience working in regulated environments</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Experience with industry standards such as ECSS, DO-178, IEC 61508, etc.<br><br></li></ul><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Within each domain, experience operating in one or more of the following roles:</span><br><br><ul><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Technical lead</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Software architect</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Software systems engineer</li><li style=\"font-size:14px;\">Technical authority for an area critical to the business of your employer</li></ul><br>"
