Description As the Part-time Crisis Response Advocate, you will provide crisis intervention, emotional support, danger assessment, safety planning, shelter placement, and information and referral to domestic and sexual violence survivors through hospital accompaniment, 24-hour hotlines, and chat. Your Schedule: Part Time Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. 20 hours per week Work Model: Hybrid Local Travel: 100%, as needed for hospital accompaniment while on shift. Our Total Compensation Package: Hourly Compensation: $18.04 hourly Pay schedule: semi-monthly Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance Programs Generous Paid time Off- 11 paid holidays per year, 3 personal holidays per year, 15 paid Vacation days per year, approx. 7 hours per month of accrued Sick days 401K the agency matches 125% of employee contributions up to 4% of the annual salary of a full-time employee Company paid Life Insurance Company paid Long Term Disability Employee Assistance Program Imagine a place where your talent can make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Qualifications The Requirements We are Seeking: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences Psychology, Counseling, Public Health, Sociology, Social Work, Criminal Justice. Two years of experience working within a social services setting or comparable. English or Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred. Intermediate Proficiency within Microsoft Office specifically Excel and Outlook and internal database programs. You have a valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record; reliable transportation; ability to travel to off-site locations utilizing personal transportation. What you Deliver in this role: You will provide hospital accompaniment, crisis intervention, emotional support, case management, information & referral, education, support, and advocacy to survivors of domestic and sexual violence at local hospitals and via nurse line as needed You will provide crisis intervention, emotional support, case management, information & referral, education, support, and advocacy to survivors of domestic and sexual violence via 24 crisis hotline and chat as needed while on standby for hospital visits. You will conducts danger assessment and creates safety plans with survivors in high risk cases You will communicate with on-call staff including Supervisors, Crisis Hotline/Chat Counselors, SANE nurses, law enforcement, and community partners You will coordinate shelter placement and emergency transportation of clients as needed with Hotline and Shelter team. You will attend mandatory monthly meetings and trainings with Manager of Hospital Accompaniment & Crisis Intervention Services, All Department Staff Meetings and/or meet as assigned You will mandatory Reporting: report suspected and prior abuse/neglect to either Child Protective services or Adult Protective Service when appropriate You will maintain sufficient inventory at all times while on-shift of information packets and clothing for clients. Supplies provided by agency. Other duties/projects may be assigned.
