    "description": "<p>The BVI Airports Authority Limited invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MALE</span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CUSTODIAN, MAINTENANCE &amp; ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT</span>.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the Airport’s facilities while maintaining the relevant inventory levels.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Applicants must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to clean and maintain cleanliness.</li>\n<li>Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.</li>\n<li>Good organizational skills.</li>\n<li>Sound customer service skills.</li>\n<li>Professional telephone etiquette.</li>\n<li>Good oral and written communication skill.</li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.</li>\n<li>Ability to take and follow instructions accurately.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES </span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect and properly dispose of all trash found in and around the terminal building, including the parking lot area.</li>\n<li>Empty and clean all trash bins at designated locations throughout the airport, and transport waste for disposal in the facility’s trash compactor.</li>\n<li>Clean exposed beams and ceilings inside and outside the terminal building, including large fans and elevated lighting fixtures, using a safety cage on a movable lift.</li>\n<li>Report any fixtures, equipment, or miscellaneous items requiring repair to the Supervisor – Custodian Services.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with team members to complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently and according to required standards.</li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining cleanliness in all BVIAA offices and any other designated spaces throughout the airport.</li>\n<li>Assist with sweeping and mopping all designated airport areas.</li>\n<li>Assist with cleaning restrooms and replenishing toilet supplies when inventory levels are low.</li>\n<li>Clean all doors, windowpanes, and glass surfaces, ensuring all glass areas remain spotless.</li>\n<li>Perform any other duties assigned by Senior Management.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold\">                                              <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Deadline for submission: 10th April 2026</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Interested persons should submit completed application and other relevant documents via BambooHR.</span></p>",
