    "description": "<p>The New Mexico Boys &amp; Girls Ranches  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are looking for a year-round teacher or teaching assistant who has a bachelor's degree with the ability to be NM certified by the NMPED. We have great benefits and vacation is offered as well. Must be local.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, vacation, and PTO</li>\n<li>Signing Bonus (after 90 days)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Responsibilities</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teach computer skills to residents</li>\n<li>Integrate social training and practice through off-campus activities and field trips</li>\n<li>Encourage residents to develop social awareness and a sense of responsibility through community service projects</li>\n<li>Help integrate other Ranch programs, such as 4-H, horsemanship, industrial skills, with school activities</li>\n<li>Present an appropriate role model during educational process and on campus</li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining physical facilities of the school</li>\n<li>Discuss individual assessments and intervention plans with Education Administrator</li>\n<li>Support and communicate with other Ranch staff as needed</li>\n<li>Develop and implement an specific educational plan for each Ranch resident</li>\n<li>Create a regulated classroom and structured learning environment</li>\n<li>Have a working knowledge of the curriculum programs used in the campus school and provide proactive assistance to residents to assist them in successful completion of work assigned to them</li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining a liaison with the local public school district, as needed</li>\n<li>Communicate with the counselor as needed</li>\n<li>Report all grades and other information on a timely basis to the campus registrar</li>\n<li>Provide classroom structure during the school day and appropriate discipline for students as needed</li>\n<li>Include life skill training as part of the educational experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Qualifications</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to motivate students</li>\n<li>Willingness to maintain and improve professional skills through additional training and education</li>\n<li>Willingness to work with at-risk children from difficult backgrounds, many with learning difficulties and behavioral problems</li>\n<li>Exhibit an ability to work in harmony with others</li>\n<li>Organizational skills</li>\n<li>Familiar with Edgenuity© Software </li>\n<li>Experience in and desire to work with adolescents</li>\n<li>Experience in secondary school teaching</li>\n<li>Experience in Microsoft Office</li>\n<li>Ability to remain regulated and provide a structured classroom</li>\n<li>Bachelors Degree</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p> <span style=\"color: #515357; font-size: 24px; font-family: Lato;\">About The New Mexico Boys &amp; Girls Ranches</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Established as New Mexico Boys Ranch, Inc. in 1944, our organization has evolved into five divisions that promote opportunity and meaningful help for struggling children and their families.
