We manufacture a full range of precision glassware and specialty products for life sciences. We also offer products and services (vials, ampules, stoppers, septa, seals, caps, bottles, tubes, flasks, and value-added services) to customers seeking packaging solutions.</p><p>Company revenue is generated through four primary channels: Global distributors, National distributors, Direct field selling efforts, and online sales.</p><p>DWK supports four primary market segments: Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Analytical Sciences, and Industrial glass.</p><p><br></p><p>POSITION SUMMARY:&nbsp;</p><p>The Manufacturing Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing daily production operations within a durable goods manufacturing environment to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality output. This position is responsible for managing and leading a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, and maintaining adherence to production schedules and quality standards. The Manufacturing Supervisor will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance to resolve production issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives. A key outcome of this role is to optimize manufacturing processes to meet or exceed company goals related to productivity, cost control, and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the Supervisor ensures that manufacturing operations run smoothly while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture.</p><p><br></p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Coordinate activities of shift employees to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely and cost-effective manner.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Provide supervision and direction to shift employees, as needed.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Troubleshoot departmental issues with equipment, tools, machinery.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Track materials requirements to support continuous workflow / production.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Inspect labels and packaging to ensure accuracy.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Complete stock transfers to finished goods, as necessary.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Handle quality matters with internal or external customers, as required.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, cost) through increasing or enhancing subordinate skills and capabilities.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Complete all required documentation, paperwork regarding daily production numbers, employees, etc.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Train employees, as required.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ensure effective employee relations.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Maintain work area in a clean and safe condition.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Observe all safety precautions, rules and regulations.</p><p><br></p><p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>High school diploma or equivalent; Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality control principles.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Proficiency in using manufacturing software and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and solve operational problems effectively.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling software.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience in conflict resolution.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Responsibilities:</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p><p>Lift up to 40 pounds. &nbsp;Must have the ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. &nbsp;Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion. &nbsp;The employee may encounter controlled air conditions with frequent air changes and environmental exposure. &nbsp;Seasonally hot climate.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>These are considered essential duties and are illustrative of those job tasks, which are fundamental. &nbsp;Employees may be required to perform additional related duties as may be assigned by management.
