This role is responsible for applying protective coatings to industrial gearboxes and motors; You will be responsible for all processes related to preparing and painting and maintaining painting equipment and the paint booth while ensuring safety, high-quality finishing processes.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Mask, clean, and prepare industrial gearboxes and electric motors for painting.</li><li>Hang product on paint racks or overhead conveyors in a safe and appropriate manner.</li><li>Mix paints and primers following correct procedures for each type, prepare painting guns and equipment.</li><li>Paint product with a professional looking finish.</li><li>Stage painted product in an appropriate method to allow proper drying before packing.</li><li>Some assistance with packing of product for shipping will be required.</li><li>Other duties and tasks as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>High School diploma or GED preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge / training:</strong></p><ul><li>Moderate knowledge of industrial liquid paint booth equipment operation.</li><li>Moderate knowledge of paint preparation procedures.</li><li>Basic knowledge of forklift operation (on site certification will be required).</li><li>Basic knowledge of packing and crating of products both corrugated and wooden cartons.</li><li>Moderate knowledge and ability to use manual and power tools.</li><li>Moderate understanding of paint booth safety procedures.</li><li>Basic understanding of and ability to follow company safety procedures.</li><li>Basic knowledge of inventory control procedures preferred.</li><li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>1 - 2 years in an industrial or automotive painting environment preferred.</li></ul><p>About WEG Electric Corp.</p><p>WEG is the largest industrial electric motor manufacturer in the Americas and one of the largest manufacturers of electric motors in the world producing more than 21 million units annually.
