    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>The Environmental Services Worker performs assigned cleaning tasks and sanitation requests, including but not limited to, general daily cleaning and floor care for the agency. This position takes direction and guidance from the Environmental Service Lead.</p><p>This is a full-time (40 hours) position on a Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm schedule, this also includes a rotating weekend requirement.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Essential Job functions</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain the cleanliness of bathrooms, bedrooms and offices by performing general cleaning tasks on a daily basis.</li><li>Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.</li><li>Gather, remove, and empty trash and recycling.</li><li>Replenish soap and paper products in bathrooms.</li><li>Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.</li><li>Complete special projects which may include stripping and waxing floors, extracting dirt and debris from carpets, and steam cleaning or shampooing carpets following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.</li><li>Sanitize bedrooms and bathrooms when clients are discharged.</li><li>Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.</li><li>Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.</li><li>Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies.</li><li>Notify the Supervisor Environmental Services concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.</li><li>Move heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually or with hand trucks.</li><li>While this job description covers many aspects of the role, employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Education &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 1 year of experience in Environmental Services or related field required</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license for minimum of 1 year with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards preferred.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</strong></p><p>In addition to demonstrating the <i>Hillside Professional Competencies&nbsp;</i>of&nbsp;Communicates Effectively<i>,</i> Personal Excellence, Cultural Competence, Builds and Leverages Relationships and Optimizes Decision Making, the following occupational competencies must be demonstrated:</p><ul><li>Understanding of cleaning and sanitation practices to maintain a healthy environment.</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.</li><li>Ability to interact with customers and coworkers respectfully and professionally, responding to service requests or concerns promptly.</li><li>Ability to clean and maintain facilities to a high standard, identifying areas that require attention.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Physical Demands &amp; Work Environment</strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
