    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary:</span></p>\n<p>Apply engineering principals and concepts learned from previous experience and/or formal education. Plan and perform project management and engineering duties for design, construction administration, assessments, and investigations. Provide work direction to technicians and less experienced colleagues. Work includes engineering calculations and decision-making and is performed on multiple projects simultaneously. Recognize, when there are better ways of doing things, research and recommend to broader organization, and participate in implementation. Level II and Level III project managers will serve as a mentor and encourage the advancement of the careers and knowledge of less experienced personnel.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Core Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p>1. Prepare engineering documents for use in complex projects. To prepare documents, collect and analyze field data of existing conditions, complete engineering calculations to determine design parameters and determine best solutions to resolve existing problems within budget limitations. Calculations and project documents are reviewed and sealed by a Professional Engineer for compliance with State Statutes.</p>\n<p>2. Perform construction management duties. Duties include conducting initial meetings with contractors to describe the project, obtaining pricing from contractors, and reviewing to determine relevancy to the project, and make recommendations to the client on award of the project. Duties may also include review of submittals, shop drawings, RFI’s, pay applications and other documents prepared during the construction process. Determine potential solutions to resolve conflicts identified during the work.</p>\n<p>3. Direct assessments and investigations. Duties include determining the appropriate processes to be used, assembly and operation of testing apparatuses, directing the making and repairing of destructive openings in roofing and wall systems. Prepare documentation describing the existing conditions and deficiencies observed and provide recommendations for improvements to existing conditions.</p>\n<p>4. Actively participate in recognizing and implementing areas of workplace inefficiencies, issues with internal culture or quality issues. Assist with improvements to policies and procedures to remedy conditions identified and for the overall growth of the company.</p>\n<p>5. Assist with preparing and provide training to personnel.</p>\n<p>6. Other responsibilities as assigned.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and Knowledge:</span></p>\n<p>1. Have a working knowledge of materials and installation processes used in their solution specialty (roofing, wall, pavement and other envelope assemblies).</p>\n<p>2. Have working knowledge of Building Codes, ASTM standards and engineering calculations and use engineering judgement to apply these items to actual field conditions.</p>\n<p>3. Ability to read, understand and develop project specifications, drawings, submittals and other documentation, identify discrepancies between actual construction and project requirements, and articulate these discrepancies both verbally and in written reports.</p>\n<p>4. Have working knowledge and ability to operate equipment used in assessments and investigations, including infrared camera, electrical capacitance meters, water testing units, hand tools etc.</p>\n<p>5. Working knowledge of job site safety requirements and use of safety equipment required for performing their work.</p>\n<p>6. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to direct, motivate and provide constructive criticism tactfully.</p>\n<p>7. Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.</p>\n<p>8. Organizational skills and an ability to interact with clients.</p>\n<p>9. Word processing, spreadsheet, and general computer skills.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Training:</span></p>\n<p>1. Bachelor’s degree in scientific or engineering field, or formal technical program and equivalent experience.</p>\n<p>2. Has or working toward a certification / registration relevant to their solution specialty.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Experience:</span></p>\n<p>1. Project Manager Level 1: Entry Level to greater than 1 year experience</p>\n<p>2. Project Manager Level 2: Greater than 2 years of relevant experience in a related field, preferably with a consulting and/or engineering firm. Formal educational or technical programs in a relevant field or relevant certifications may count towards experience.</p>\n<p>3. Project Manager Level 3: Typically, five or more years of relevant experience in a related field, preferably with a consulting and/or engineering firm. Formal educational or technical programs in a relevant field or relevant certifications may count towards experience.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical and Environmental Demands:</span></p>\n<p>1. Sitting up to 75% of time using computer equipment including desktop or laptop computer, keyboard, mouse, etc.</p>\n<p>2. Sufficient physical ability to perform moderate lifting (approximately 50 pounds maximum).</p>\n<p>3. Walking, standing and/or moving for prolonged periods of time.</p>\n<p>4. Ability to climb ladders.</p>\n<p>5.
