We invite experienced APPs to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds and visionaries together in our Cardiology team at Atrium Health Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute Cabarrus in Concord, NC &nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <p>SHVI is looking for a full time Cardiology NP or PA to provide quality care to the patients we serve in the Charlotte community. This APP role will provide urgent cardiovascular care services to complex cardiovascular patients with many disease processes. This may include complex hospital follow-ups, 72 hours ED-Chest pain pathway follow-up, &nbsp;same-day add-on slots for patient access and support of patients that need close outpatient follow-up.   &nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <p>The position will be responsible for evaluating, assessing, and managing cardiology patients in the OP setting, including, but not limited to CV office new &amp; return visits. The APP will serve as support for nursing led patient triage and high-risk EKG or testing assessment.   &nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <p>The APP should be competent in taking medical history, assessing medical condition(s) of patients, and interpreting medical findings, labs, and test results. The APP will order appropriate interventions, diagnostic tests, and medications. The APP should possess the ability to maintain quality assurance and quality control standards. The APP should be able to implement effective communication skills with both patients and colleagues that demonstrate a commitment to consistently providing an excellent patient experience for every patient. The APP is expected to have the capability of reacting calmly and effectively in emergency situations and be able to work effectively in a team environment.  &nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <p>  &nbsp;<br/><strong>CARDIOLOGY NP or PA:</strong>  &nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Practice in the outpatient setting providing autonomous and quality care for patients with cardiac specific disease processes.   &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Evaluate new patients, consults and established patients as well as diagnose, treat and manage common conditions in the cardiovascular population.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Perform an appropriate history and physical exam, assess, and prepare patient workups and follows core measures for documentation including hospital and 3<sup>rd</sup> party payer requirements and appropriate patient care.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Facilitate and order diagnostic studies including echocardiograms, stress tests, MRIs, CTs, and cardiac catheterization if indicated.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Order appropriate laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.  Explained necessity, preparation, and risks and benefits of scheduled diagnostics and therapeutic procedures to the patient and family.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Has the ability to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Participate in evaluations with the primary supervising physician as directed by State laws.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Maintain BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification as well as all licenses and certifications as mandated by the Hospital Credentialing Committee.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Exhibits respect for others by displaying a positive, courteous attitude at all times.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Participates in staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education for job related growth.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Shifts: &nbsp;8 or 10-hour days, &nbsp;M-F. &nbsp;No call, no weekends or holidays.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Eligible Performance Incentive Bonus annually. $2500 and 40h for CME.  &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <ul>\n   <li>Teaching opportunities with students and/or APP Fellows &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <p> &nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <p><strong>Position Qualifications:</strong>  &nbsp;</p>\n </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n <div style=\"margin:0px;padding:0px;\">\n  <p>Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
