    "description": "<h2>Summary</h2>\n<p>The Cut/Cal Department ensures products meet customer, quality, and safety standards. Operators inspect and measure materials using metric tools and must be detail-oriented, able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, and committed to safety and quality.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate warming mills and cutting machines according to <strong>Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)</strong>.</li>\n <li>Inspect materials for defects and perform measurements using steel rulers, tape measures, gauges, and calipers.</li>\n <li>Record production data and machine status accurately.</li>\n <li>Follow proper procedures during abnormal situations and communicate issues to team and supervisors.</li>\n <li>Tag, record, and weigh scrap throughout the shift.</li>\n <li>Adhere to <strong>FIFO (First In, First Out)</strong> inventory practices.</li>\n <li>Comply with all safety protocols, including <strong>PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)</strong> such as cut- and heat-resistant gloves, hard hats, and steel-toe footwear.</li>\n <li>Follow all <strong>lockout/tagout</strong> and <strong>STOP-CALL-WAIT</strong> procedures.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean, organized work area by practicing <strong>5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)</strong>.</li>\n <li>Participate in safety and quality audits as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Knowledge and Skills</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality standards</li>\n <li>Effective communication and teamwork skills</li>\n <li>Familiarity with basic measurement tools and inspection techniques</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field preferred</li>\n <li>At least<strong> </strong>High School graduate or GED equivalent </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to stand and walk continuously for up to 8–12 hours per shift</li>\n <li>Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly</li>\n <li>Repetitive use of hands and arms for handling materials and operating machinery</li>\n <li>Comfortable working in environments with elevated heat and industrial noise</li>\n <li>Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., gloves, hard hats, steel-toe footwear) for the duration of the shift</li>\n <li><strong>Clear vision</strong> required for inspecting materials and reading measurement tools accurately</li>\n</ul>",
