Overview At Apex Service Partners, we’re offering a unique opportunity for a driven leader to develop alongside a top-performing General Manager in Kansas City, gaining hands-on experience running a successful trades business and preparing to step confidently into a General Manager role of your own. This role provides meaningful ownership, real operational and financial responsibility, and a clear path to senior leadership within a growing platform. We believe great leadership directly impacts technician success, customer experience, and long-term business performance—and we develop General Managers accordingly. This Kansas City–based role is designed for leaders who are excited to make a lasting impact in a single market while growing with a high-performing team and established brand. What You’ll Do: Train under an experienced General Manager while learning and executing Apex’s operating playbook Take ownership of a department and lead day-to-day operations Develop and execute strategies to drive key performance metrics across operations, people, and financial performance Deliver a “gold standard” of service through coaching, training, accountability, and data-driven decision-making Build a high-performance culture where technicians feel supported, respected, and set up for long-term success Lead hiring efforts and create upward mobility through skill development and clear career pathing Manage financial activities including budgeting and forecasting, with full accountability for P&L performance Serve as a visible, hands-on leader with daily in-person presence in the Kansas City market Who We’re Looking For: 3+ years of experience leading and motivating teams; experience in home services or field-based environments is a plus Proven operational leadership experience required; exposure to P&L responsibility is a plus Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred Playbook-driven leadership style with a bias for action Strong interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills High energy, adaptability, and a proven track record of delivering results Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Deep respect for the Skilled Trades or other people-driven, operationally intensive industries What We Offer: Base salary + performance-based bonus Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, and 401(k) with company match A clear, structured path to a General Manager role Entrepreneurial growth opportunities within a high-performing national platform Our Core Values: Embrace a Growth Mindset Stay Scrappy, Have Fun Improve Through Collaboration Be Fact-Based & Metric-Driven If you’re a high-performing operator who values structure, accountability, and taking care of the people doing the work—and you’re excited to make an impact in the Kansas City market—we want to hear from you.
