    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>This is an entry-level position responsible for loading out bulk finished product, mixing system operation, pellet mill operation, maintenance of associated parts/equipment, and providing back-up support to other roles.  This position is also responsible for the cleanliness of the general plant area.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate various pieces of equipment including but not limited to forklifts, rollers, grinders, mixing, and batching equipment.</li>\n <li>Perform functions associated with the mixing, batching, and pelleting processes.</li>\n <li>Functionally cross-trained in other support roles.</li>\n <li>Organize the bulk order loads with the appropriate truck driver for loading.</li>\n <li>Clear documentation of load out records to maintain traceability</li>\n <li>Visual quality inspection of finished product being shipped, and elevate to appropriate manager/supervisor when results are inconsistent.</li>\n <li>Run the batching and mixing software programs.</li>\n <li>Clear documentation of batch records to maintain traceability.</li>\n <li>Follow the correct sequencing and batching protocols.</li>\n <li>Control regulation of steam onto the product.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Understand the effect of steam on the pelleting procedure.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Distinguish different pellet die sizes and install into appropriate machine.</li>\n <li>Understand/distinguish pellet quality and elevate to appropriate manager/supervisor when results are inconsistent.</li>\n <li>Change the pellet die to a variety of different plates with assistance.Set pellet rolls pursuant to written policy/procedure.</li>\n <li>Monitor electrical equipment for amp-load to maintain a consistent pellet quality.</li>\n <li>Unload bulk truck deliveries in a safe and efficient manner.</li>\n <li>Monitor assigned plant operations (e.g. controls for roller, grinder, mixer, etc).</li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance of all equipment associated with the mixing, batching, and pelleting processes.</li>\n <li>Perform general clean-up inside/outside load out area, pellet mill and finished product area including sweeping, shoveling etc.</li>\n <li>Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary.</li>\n <li>Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Experience in a similar production environment preferred.</li>\n <li>Forklift experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Basic operating knowledge of augers, belt-driven machinery, elevators, and other equipment used in the production process.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Multi-task and handle continuous interruptions without losing focus.</li>\n <li>Concentrate and remain focused despite repeated interruptions.</li>\n <li>Strong follow-through skills.</li>\n <li>Self-motivated and accountable for results. </li>\n <li>Safely operate all forklifts.</li>\n <li>Able to work on a time deadline and follow instructions.</li>\n <li>Perform critical thinking and troubleshoot.</li>\n <li>Write clearly and legibly to keep detailed and accurate records.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Requirments</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Frequently lift/carry objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.</li>\n <li>Frequently twist, stoop, bend, climb, push, and/or pull.</li>\n <li>Frequently reach for objects in performance of the specific essential job tasks.</li>\n <li>Occasionally lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.</li>\n <li>Occasionally perform overhead lifting of objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds, with or without assistance.</li>\n <li>Vision sufficient to safely perform the specific essential jobs tasks outlined.</li>\n <li>Perform repetitive tasks (e.g. grasping objects, fine manipulation, push/pull, assemble objects, etc) with both hands.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Continuously exposed to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions.</li>\n <li>Regularly exposed to work near moving parts/equipment. </li>\n <li>Regularly exposed to major amounts of dust.</li>\n <li>Regularly exposed to moderate to severe noise levels.</li>\n <li>Occasionally exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>The Company offers paid vacation time, paid sick leave, medical, dental and vision plans as well as a 401(k) with employer match.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Note:</em></strong><em>  Valid Driver’s License required for insurance purposes. </em><em>Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of this position at any time.</em></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
