Description
This position uses market knowledge, pricing expertise and analytical skills to drive sales that match customer needs to available supply while achieving profit and volume targets. Works closely with existing and new lumber customers to meet current and future volume needs across all customer segments. Actively supports less experienced team members in their development. This is primarily an inside sales role with up to 20% travel required.
Accountabilities:
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with customers. Proactively and independently manages customer accounts. Builds brand loyalty. Addresses customer concerns and quickly resolves issues.
Uses experience and knowledge of enterprise sales system and available technology to effectively sell and manage orders. Uses analytic tools to develop customer strategies including pricing, mix and profitability
Actively sells transactional volume to meet mill production. Negotiates contracts. Proactively manages customer%27s purchase needs while delivering profitably through the cycle.
Uses understanding of product, manufacturing, transportation, and industry to deliver sales and inventory targets. Uses knowledge of customer business to proactively find service or product solutions
Provides feedback and direction to team sales activities including sales calls, sharing of market and price changes and industry intel. Uses collaboration tools to provide real-time input to team.

Typical Education and Experience:
HS/GED and 1-3+ years Weyerhaeuser experience
Preferred: 4-year degree
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of %2475,600-%24113,500 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
Experience developing relationships with customers. Understanding of customer and segment product and service needs. Ability to develop and deliver strategic goals
Experience using the computerized sales system with speed, familiarity, and accuracy. Utilizes data analysis tools to inform sales tactics and strategies. Capable with MS Office.
