    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div><strong>Position Title:&nbsp; Dispatcher</strong></div><div><strong>Division:&nbsp; Operations/Transportation</strong></div><div><strong>Reports To:&nbsp; Director, Transportation</strong></div><div><strong>FLSA Status:&nbsp; Non-Exempt</strong></div><div><strong>Salary Schedule:&nbsp; AS5</strong></div><div><strong>Work Days:&nbsp; &nbsp;244</strong></div><div style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><br>*Please ensure you have uploaded a current resume to your application. &nbsp;</div><div style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><br>&nbsp;</div><p><strong>Essential Duties:</strong>&nbsp;</p><div><ol><li>Manage overall functions of communications on the base radio.</li><li>Communicate professionally and effectively to all drivers and personnel over base radio.&nbsp;</li><li>Manage substitute driver assignments.</li><li>Take calls from drivers who call in and will be absent.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Track and disseminate driver attendance data to Route Supervisors.&nbsp;</li><li>Formulate plans for splitting routes and covering routes on a daily basis.</li><li>Record all communication that occurs on base radio.&nbsp;</li><li>Serve as a substitute bus driver when needed.</li><li>Assist in answering and routing phone calls.</li><li>Complete legible and accurate required reports in the prescribed manner and in a timely manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist the Director and Executive Director of Transportation in responding to any transportation related concern from drivers, parents, and students.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ol></div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></div><div><ol><li>Minimum of a High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE), required.&nbsp;</li><li>Commercial Driver’s License with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements required at the time of employment.&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of three years of experience in transportation operations; experience in public school transportation, preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to pass annual physical required.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in preparing and maintaining route information.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated competence in office technology including the use of word processing and databases. Experience with Edulog Routing and GPS software, preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Team-oriented with a proven record of working well with others.&nbsp;</li><li>Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.</li><li>Ability to be present at the physical worksite.&nbsp;</li><li>Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.</li><li>Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.</li></ol></div>",
