In addition, the candidate should be thorough, detail-oriented, and have the ability to oversee multiple short and long-term tasks to completion.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in all phases of design projects, construction through opening and beyond</li><li>Partner with teams with any elements of physical environments of existing locations, including but not limited to facilities and maintenance</li><li>Manage business vendors related to buildings, facilities, appliances, finishes, installations, repairs, maintenance, etc.</li><li>Manage RFP's and present options to the team, help ensure timely follow up takes place</li><li>Track all scheduling with vendors and maintain calendar</li><li>Assist in obtaining proper budgetary approvals for any projects involving external vendors</li><li>Assist the team in communications and follow up with consultants and vendors</li><li>Assist in developing and maintaining SketchUp models, used as a tool in the design development process</li><li>Drafting of architectural drawings and details</li><li>Maintain materials and samples library and obtain new samples for new materials research</li><li>Contribute to daily administration tasks o various projects such as organizing and creating new project files, downloading, uploading, and/or sending files, maintaining printed drawing sets for office use, plotting and printing drawings, etc.</li></ul><p><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE</strong></p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Architecture or Interior Architecture/Design program</li></ul><p><strong>Special Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite</li><li>V-Ray experience is a plus</li></ul><p><strong>Work Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>0 - 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably working in all phases of design</li><li>Retail experience is a plus</li></ul><p><strong>COMPETENCIES REQUIRED</strong></p><p>Core competencies required for the Junior Architectural Designer:</p><ul><li>Strong aesthetic sensibility and versatile design skills</li><li>Strong production, technical and research skills</li><li>General knowledge of construction</li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written</li><li>Familiarity with architectural and interior details</li><li>Ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines</li><li>Ability to be a self-starter and proactive</li></ul><p><strong>PAY TRANSPARENCY </strong></p><p>The salary for this position is $28.00 hourly. </p><p>You must be authorized to work in the United States.</p><p>JAMES PERSE was founded in the 1990's in Los Angeles, California by its eponymous designer.
