This includes providing professional assessments and documentation of the resident’s heath and assisting with management of the assigned unit, charge nurse and other nursing staff.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Unit Manager  Essential Functions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Unit Manager will supervise unit, perform and provide written/verbal care assignments, routine skills and procedures to ensure the quality of care to residents</li>\n <li>Supervise and participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans</li>\n <li>Document progress and making recommendations for revisions to care plans</li>\n <li>Assist DON/ADON with the co-ordination, management and monitoring of the review of nurse’s notes to determine if the care plan is being followed</li>\n <li>Supervise staff in monitor each resident’s psychological functions, fluid balance, elimination, electrolyte status, laboratory results, respiratory status, neurological status and nutritional status to detect deviations from normal and gage progress</li>\n <li>Make rounds with the physician</li>\n <li>Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights and privacy are protected at all time</li>\n <li>Complete necessary documentation and teaching of residents for residents’ admissions, transfers and discharge according to policy and procedures</li>\n <li>All other as assigned </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Unit Manager  Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid RN or LPN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements</li>\n <li>Have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective nursing practices within the State of employment</li>\n <li>The ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personal</li>\n <li>The ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPPA</li>\n <li>The ability to adhere to professional code of ethics</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>",
