The position is located at Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, GA. The technician must be self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills. The technician must work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This job is a full-time, onsite position. We value both heart and head, the diversity of our people, and their experiences because that is how we continue to grow as a leader in our industry and expand our individual and collective potential.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain knowledge on current safety procedures including OSHA regulations and Robins Base safety</li>\n <li>Operate machinery (aerial lift, work truck) on busy roadways and around large structures</li>\n <li>Take detailed and accurate notes on roof conditions using a data collection device</li>\n <li>Utilize GPS technologies (survey, resource, or mapping grade precision requirements shall be specified in the task order), traditional land surveying technologies (e.g., Total Station), remote sensing technologies (e.g., Range Finders) or other data collection technologies</li>\n <li>Experience with Trimble surveying equipment and ArcGIS Field Maps a plus</li>\n <li>Follow quality control procedures to ensure a high degree of data consistency, integrity, and accuracy</li>\n <li>Work closely with two co-workers in a team-oriented environment</li>\n <li>Discuss plans and coordinate with proper personnel</li>\n <li>Provide updates on the current progress of the roof inspections to appropriate personnel</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One year of experience using Esri ArcGIS collection equipment</li>\n <li>Experience using an aerial lift</li>\n <li>Valid Drivers License</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, team-work, and collaboration skills</li>\n <li>Familiarity with web-based mapping applications</li>\n <li>U.S. Citizenship required to comply with government contracts</li>\n <li>Able to obtain a DOD security clearance </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors Degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.</li>\n <li>1 year or more collecting roofing data</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>NV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>NV5 provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
