They are also responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers, and Sun Auto Tire & Service standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>COMPENSATION: $20-$50 flag rate depending on experience</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive Bi-Weekly Pay</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Paid Vacation and Sick Time</li>\n <li>6 Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance </li>\n <li>Life Insurance (Company paid)</li>\n <li>401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match</li>\n <li>Discounted Services on Personal and Immediate Family Vehicles</li>\n <li>Opportunity for Advancement!!! </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.</li>\n <li>Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.</li>\n <li>Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.</li>\n <li>Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.</li>\n <li>Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.</li>\n <li>Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years old</li>\n <li>Prefer unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training</li>\n <li>Possess a current and valid driver's license</li>\n <li>Ability to work Monday - Saturday </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions and Physical Demands</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<p>The <strong>Automotive Technician</strong> will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.
