The Recreational Specialist is responsible for the provision, planning and coordination of recreational activities at the Prospect Residence. The Recreational Specialist is responsible for the assessment and recommendation for appropriate activities; lead and co-lead activity groups and encourage clients&#39; participation in community events. Responsible for planning and coordinating special events and holidays activities as well as to provide training to staff.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong></p>\n\n<p><strong>Tues.-Sat. 9am - 5pm</strong></p>\n\n<p><strong>Essential Duties:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Develop and implement recreational program.&nbsp;</li>\n\t<li>Provide assistance with activities for daily living as it relates to the use of recreational activities to clients to increase their capacity for independent living and Socialization.&nbsp;</li>\n\t<li>Develop and implement weekly recreational activities including arts &amp; crafts, games, music and other hobbies&nbsp;</li>\n\t<li>Coordinate field trips and outings, i.e., movies, plays, concerts and sporting events&nbsp;</li>\n\t<li>Document clients&#39; progress and participation in progress notes&nbsp;</li>\n\t<li>Establish network of community resources that will provide recreational therapeutic activities&nbsp;</li>\n\t<li>Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings, as required Program staff&nbsp;</li>\n\t<li>Collaborates with Program staff&nbsp; in the development of long and short term goals</li>\n\t<li>Provide training and instruction to staff</li>\n\t<li>Maintains client program attendance</li>\n</ul>\n",
