Join our team, where your expertise can make a true impact!</p><p>The purpose of the role is to establish and manage underground development and infrastructure construction activities for the Ledbetter Underground (LUG) Project being undertaken by Haile Gold Mine. Co-ordinate the daily activities between contractors and LUG Management for the various development and execution projects being undertaken onsite.</p><ul><li>Operational Responsibilities<ul><li>Ensure communication with the Contractor, HUG Operations, and LUG Project Management for all daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans and schedules.</li><li>Coordinate functions during the development, approval, and execution phases of Capital Works.</li><li>Maintain Master Project Schedule – ensure schedule reflects asbuilts and weekly progress&#xa0;update HUG Technical services and Senior Project Engineer of deviations from baseline</li><li>Ensure all works under area of control are completed to a standard that is fit for purpose and meets the end users’ requirements.</li><li>Other tasks as assigned by Management</li></ul></li><li>Project Management<ul><li>Support project execution to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.</li><li>Review construction drawings and specification set out by the designer.</li><li>Ensure document control standards are followed throughout the life of the project.</li><li>Support development of updated forecasts and budget with senior level and management.</li><li>Collaborate with Cost Controller and Purchasing to ensure performance reporting is complete within deadlines.</li></ul></li><li>Health, Safety, and Environment<ul><li>Comply with OceanaGold Health and Safety Policy and Environment Policy.</li><li>Promoting safety awareness and environmental responsibility amongst company and contract personnel.</li><li>Report all personal injuries and incidents and assisting with investigations.</li><li>Actively supporting and participate in safety and environmental initiatives.</li><li>Accepting accountability to ensure personal safety and the safety of others whilst protecting the environment.</li><li>Monitor the reporting of workplace incidents and hazards to ensure effective risk mitigation is maintained.</li><li>Undertake workplace inspections and audits to ensure site standards are being adhered to.</li><li>Support incident investigations that occur within area of control.</li></ul></li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p>",

          "text": "<ul><li>Education<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field</li></ul></li><li>Experience<ul><li>7-10 years of underground experience is preferred</li><li>Experience in mine planning using DESWIK.sched or other scheduling software’s (previous experience with DESWIK.sched will be highly regarded).</li><li>Experience in scheduling with Microsoft Projects preferred</li><li>Previous experience in civil or mining construction highly regarded</li><li>Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry standard software</li><li>Positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility, and willingness to see projects through to completion are a must.<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p></li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.</li><li>Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.</li><li>Work will require underground underground and surface time, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.</li><li>Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in an underground/surface mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.</li></ul></li></ul>",
