Come grow with KMC Stampings!</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>SUMMARY OF POSITION:</strong></p><p>Under the direction of the Plant Supervisor, the Laser Setup /Operator operates the laser to perform a variety of standardized work where procedures are prescribed to produce parts in conformance with specification. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Setup, adjust and operate computer-controlled laser cutting machine</li><li>Mount, install, align and secure tools, attachments, fixtures and work pieces on machines</li><li>Setup and adjust gauges to properly position parts during equipment operation</li><li>Work from drawings, specifications, patterns or templates in any combination of metric or decimal dimensions to hold tolerances</li><li>Quality inspection using a variety of precision measuring instruments&nbsp;</li><li>Use scale, protractor, fixed angle and radii gauges</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. &nbsp;The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Highly motivated self-starter</li><li>Prior experience with Trumpf TruLaser 3530 and Trumpf Trumatic 600L preferred</li><li>Requires 6 months of relevant manufacturing experience</li><li>Strong reading, writing and math skills</li><li>Regular attendance is required; punctual, dependable</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form</li><li>Interpersonal skills &amp; friendly attitude</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required talk or hear and may occasionally sit; regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. &nbsp;The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
