This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure, and emerging AI-driven development practices.</p><p>The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and is passionate about leveraging modern tools&mdash;including agentic coding systems and generative AI workflows&mdash;to push the limits of development productivity and platform scalability.</p><p>You will work closely with web developers, software engineers, and data teams to build reliable infrastructure, streamline development workflows, and deploy high-performance applications across cloud environments.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Title:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong>DevOps Engineer</p><p><strong>Position Type:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong>Full Time / Salary Exempt</p><p><strong>Reporting To:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong>VP of Technology<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Location:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong>Z SUPPLY Headquarters &ndash; Costa Mesa, CA</p><p><strong>Work Type:</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; HYBRID, In office 3-4 Days / Remote 1-2 Days&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>POSITION DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: square;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure supporting ecommerce platforms and internal software systems.&nbsp;</li><li>Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and development workflows to support rapid, reliable application deployment.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with ecommerce web development and software engineering teams to improve deployment processes, developer tooling, and system reliability.&nbsp;</li><li>Architect and maintain cloud-native web application environments including containerization, infrastructure automation, and deployment orchestration.</li><li>Develop and maintain data engineering pipelines, database integrations, and system-to-system data workflows.&nbsp;</li><li>Implement and scale generative AI workflows and automation systems, including platforms such as n8n, ComfyUI, and other AI orchestration frameworks.&nbsp;</li><li>Utilize modern AI development methodologies, including orchestrating agentic coding systems to accelerate development and improve operational efficiency.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor system performance, reliability, and security across production environments.&nbsp;</li><li>Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies that improve engineering productivity and infrastructure performance.&nbsp;</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business goals and supports future growth.&nbsp;</li><li>Potential&nbsp;Travel up to 1-2 times per year for position training / conference requirements</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES</u></strong></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: square;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering roles.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong experience managing and deploying systems on AWS cloud infrastructure (ECS, S3, RDS, etc).&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker).&nbsp;</li><li>Proven experience supporting ecommerce web development environments and software engineering teams.&nbsp;</li><li>Deep understanding of CI/CD workflows, automation, and development lifecycle tooling.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong programming skills with hands-on development experience in JavaScript, Ruby, and Python.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, database integrations, and backend infrastructure.</li><li>Experience implementing or scaling generative AI systems and workflows.</li><li>Familiarity with AI automation/orchestration tools such as ComfyUI, n8n, or similar platforms.</li><li>Experience integrating AI-assisted development or agentic coding workflows into engineering processes<strong><u><br></u></strong></li><li><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications</u></strong></li><li>Familiarity with Shopify and Ruby on Rails.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with observability and monitoring platforms.&nbsp;</li><li>Background in high-scale ecommerce or retail technology environments.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>This is a hybrid office-based role requiring frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
