We have an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Clerical Support Associate </strong>to join our <strong>Surgical PreScreening Clinic </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Employment Status:</strong> Temporary Part Time<strong>Duration:</strong> October 2026 - subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Right<strong>Hours of Work:</strong> Variable hours (7:00-15:00, 7:30-15:30, 8:00-16:00 and/or 8:30-16:30) - subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights. <strong>Location:</strong> <strong>Hennick Humber Hospital</strong><strong></strong><strong>Labour Group: </strong>Teamsters Clerical <strong>Reporting Relationship: </strong>Manager, Pre-Screening, Pre-op & Surgical Daycare<strong>Hourly Rate: </strong>$29.966 - $31.016</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides excellent reception/customer service, patient processing and maintenance of patient records. This includes registration of patients to the out-patient services as well as booking/editing of patient appointments.</li>\n <li>Maintains/supports all clerical and communication functions in the out-patient services.</li>\n <li>Logging, maintaining and collection of statistics.</li>\n <li>Other related duties as required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Completed secretarial and medical terminology courses preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of medical terminology is required.</li>\n <li>Minimum of one-year full time recent clerical experience required, preferably in an out-patient health care setting.</li>\n <li>Computer skills required, keyboarding 40 wpm required.</li>\n <li>Meditech computer experience is preferred.</li>\n <li>Community-wide scheduling experience is preferred.</li>\n <li>Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.</li>\n <li>Excellent customer service skills required.</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational skills required, including an ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload and work with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions, and emergency situations.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.</li>\n <li><p>An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
