    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Serves as a communications specialist between external and internal customers of DHART and D-H. Responsible for receiving transport requests for air and ground medical transport, and for initiating mobilization of appropriate teams and resources depending on the needs of the patient and/or requesting agencies.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2> \n<li> Coordinates all transport request information.</li> \n<li> Completes computer data entry.</li> \n<li> Provides Flight/Ground following of designated vehicles while out on transport.</li> \n<li> Acts as an agent of Metro Aviation, Inc., Operational Control Center.</li> \n<li> Activates and coordinates the Post Accident Incident Plan.</li> \n<li> Communicates between pre-hospital health care providers, hospital health care providers, law enforcement, and fire department personnel.</li> \n<li> Receives and relays medical information between requesting and receiving personnel and facilities.</li> \n<li> Monitors, interprets, and communicates weather information to the DHART teams.</li> \n<li> Performs other duties as required or assigned.</li> \n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul> \n <li> High school diploma or the equivalent required.</li> \n <li> Must possess good customer service skills.</li> \n <li> Must be able to multitask and function independently.</li> \n <li> Excellent verbal and written communications skills with a great attention to detail required.</li> \n <li> Must be proficient with typing on a computer.</li> \n <li> Prior EMS experience or medical background preferred.</li> \n <li> Previous aviation, communication, and/or hospital experience preferred.</li> \n <li> Prior dispatch or emergency medical dispatching (EMD) experience preferred.</li> \n</ul>\n<h2>Required Licensure/Certifications</h2>\n<ul> \n <li> Certified Flight Communicator certification required within 2 years of hire.</li> \n</ul>",
