Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components, and parts at various stages of the production process, to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. This position is responsible for inspection of composite tooling, components, subassemblies, and assemblies.to support the manufacture of aerospace and space-based composite structures.</p><p style='margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0in;line-height:107%;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'><strong>About AC:</strong> Come and join the Applied Composites team. If you are looking for a company that values and develops its employees while offering engaging work, Applied Composites may be the place for you.</p><p style='margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;margin-left:0in;line-height:107%;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'><strong>Job Accountabilities:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><ul><li>Read and follow work instructions.</li><li>Performs routine visual inspection of composite tooling, components, subassemblies, and assemblies.</li><li>Performs routine visual inspection of painted composite components, subassemblies, and assemblies.</li><li>Perform paint and coating thickness checks with ultrasonic thickness gage.</li><li>Perform dimensional measurements with instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, indicators, gage pins, depth gage, protractor, and other gages as required.</li><li>Performs inspections including precision weighing and measuring.</li><li>Use fixtures to accurately fit and check components.</li><li>Use Microsoft office suite and Microsoft teams.</li><li>Compile certification packages including First Article Inspection Reports.</li><li>Keep accurate records of inspection results.</li><li>Review supplier and subcomponent inspection packages.</li><li>Record and communicate non-conforming measurement results with Team Lead and MRB team.</li><li>Read and determine conformity to process specifications.</li><li>Assists with training/development regarding tasks in their department.&nbsp;</li><li>Actively demonstrates all safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Other responsibilities as assigned.</li><li>Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
