This also requires maintaining test equipment, documenting all test procedures, keeping log of all tests, and maintaining lab certification with AMCA. This position involves researching, testing, and proving feasibility of potential new products and product enhancements for future transition to new product development. There will also be requirements to perform full engineering analysis on failed components either through internal testing or through a field failure. This will include identifying the root cause of the failure and assisting in identifying appropriate corrective actions and/or improvements.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><u><strong>Responsibilities and Duties:</strong></u></p><ol><li>Perform air, sound, vibration, over-speed tests and other mechanical testing as required</li><li>Prepare customer test reports</li><li>Maintain laboratory certification records and conduct calibration tests</li><li>Assemble and setup up test fans while verifying that fan dimensions agree with drawings</li><li>Use in-house computer programs to record and analyze test results</li><li>Maintain laboratory test logs</li><li>Conduct physical inventory of goods in the laboratory</li><li>Assist in designs and modifications of new and existing products</li><li>Test and prepare AMCA check test fans</li><li>Responsible for obtaining all components and materials necessary for testing fans including fan parts, ductwork, drive components etc.</li><li>Modify fans and other types of equipment if necessary</li><li>Troubleshoot field problems and recommend corrections</li><li>Lead problem solving resolution, root-cause analysis including testing, assembly and disassembly</li><li>Assist other engineering functions as needed</li><li>Ability to inspect product materials and systems for defects and durability</li><li>Should be a good team player as they have to collaborate with various departments (e.g. manufacturing, production, engineering &amp; customer service)</li><li>Write up fan failure analysis reports on returned goods</li></ol><p><br></p>",
