    "description": "<p>About the Role:</p>\n<p>The  Excavator Operator is responsible for assisting foreman and work crews on assigned job sites. This position will require you to travel over night in the Tri -State area.</p>\n<p>Duties may include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Primary job duties will be general labor functions as directed by the project Crew Leader or Foreman.</li>\n<li>Accountable to ensure accuracy related to tasks and follow all policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and production.</li>\n<li>Loads and unloads equipment and materials.</li>\n<li>Keeps the worksite clean and organized, free from unnecessary hazards.</li>\n<li>Maintains a safety-first culture and actively participates in safety training.</li>\n<li>Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction</li>\n<li>Good leadership and training skills</li>\n<li>Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of following blueprints and manuals</li>\n<li>Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs</li>\n<li>Great time management</li>\n<li>Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product or operations issues</li>\n<li>Ability to stand, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time</li>\n<li>Maintains current certifications for CPR/First Aid, OSHA 30, Asbestos Cement Pipe, Harassment Prevention, Competent Person Trenching and Excavation, Confined Space Entry/Rescue, and any other training appropriate for the type of work being performed.</li>\n<li>Additional duties as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma required.</li>\n<li>Understanding of English as associated with the jobsite safety and the typical duties required of this position.</li>\n<li>Basic understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.</li>\n<li>Ability to solve conflict, create team atmosphere, dependable, and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.</li>\n<li>Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).</li>\n<li>Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.</li>\n<li>Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.</li>\n<li>Class A CDL (Tanker endorsement, no restrictions) DOT Physical, Valid and up to date.</li>\n<li>Minimum 1 –2 years experience in operating equipment.
