    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>You belong at Day &amp; Ross.&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Operations Manager&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Full-time - Day Shift&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Thornton, CO</p>\n<p>$75,000 - $100,000</p>\n<p>As an Operations Manager, you are responsible for delivering a time sensitive delivery operation.&nbsp;This includes supervising day to day operations drivers, fleet &amp; fleet maintenance, dispatch operations, reverse dock operations and on-site customer dock operations.&nbsp;Ensure all operations remain compliant with the Safety and Compliance department.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>How You’ll Help:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ol>\n <li>Working with the Dedicated Leadership Team, ensure that, as the company grows, operations capabilities meet or exceed all customer and corporate requirements for unit cost, service quality and responsiveness.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Work closely with the Director Operations on operational plans, goals, and contributing to future innovations.</li>\n <li>Provide daily guidance to staff, to ensure alignment with operational and customer expectations.</li>\n <li>Develop a culture of safety, professionalism and service excellence in all areas of operations. Maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial transportation requirements.</li>\n <li>Ensure that all incidents (such as personal injuries; transportation collisions; spills etc) are promptly reported, documented, root causes identified and corrective/preventative measures implemented.</li>\n <li>Will be responsible for the dispatch function to ensure drivers are scheduled to meet company deliveries on time.</li>\n <li>Will manage the relationship with drivers, including, but not limited to driver schedules, equipment utilization, and driver contracts.</li>\n <li>Ensure that a preventative maintenance program is in place and effective.</li>\n <li>\n  <p>Provides mentoring and guidance to subordinates and other employees. Establishes individual objectives, conducts performance appraisal reviews, recommends salary action, and implements succession planning.
