    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 22px; font-weight: bold\">Substitute Pool, Charlotte Lab School | 2024-25</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">Job Posting Date</span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">: Ongoing</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">Hours</span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">:</span> <span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Part-Time or Full-Time; 7:40am - 3:40pm daily</span></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">Start Date</span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">: </span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Aug. 13, 2024</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">End Date:</span> Jun. 13, 2025</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Charlotte Lab School Substitute Teachers will have responsibilities in support of Charlotte Lab School instruction:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">On-Site Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Follow guidance and lesson plans provided by regular core content area teacher;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Deliver instruction to students by content area aligned to the Common Core &amp; NC State Standards;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Facilitate instruction for whole class, small group, individuals, and advisory group;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Integrate technology into instruction;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Supervise students and maintain a clean, orderly, safe, and positive classroom learning environment;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Manage classroom behavior in a fair and respectful manner using an appropriate tone; </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Alert the Guidance Counselor, Dean of Students or Wellness Assistant if student support issues arise;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Fulfill all other duties &amp; responsibilities as assigned by the teacher (i.e. attendance, arrival/dismissal duty, lunch/recess duty, etc.)</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">Candidates Should:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Be able/willing to learn how to fulfill the responsibilities listed above;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">​</span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Have a high school diploma.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">In addition, the Charlotte Lab Instructional Leadership Team will look favorably upon candidates who:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Hold a bachelor's degree;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Hold a current North Carolina Professional Teaching license;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Have experience working with students of all ages; </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Have previous experience working with diverse populations;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Are motivated to work in an open, progressive school environment;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Have strong classroom management and communication skills;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Are comfortable with technology and quick learner of various computer applications; and</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to build relationships and collaborate with others.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Compensation</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Compensation for this role ranges from $105-$125/day.
