McGard LLC Maintenance Technician II About McGard: McGard has been a trusted name in the automotive industry for over 50 years. Position Schedule: 2 nd Shift – Monday – Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays. Position Pay: Hourly Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 DOE Plus 10% shift differential Benefits: Competitive wage and comprehensive benefits package: health/dental/life insurances, PTO, quarterly discretionary profit sharing, 10 holidays, 401k plan with employer match. Time worked after 8 hours is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate. On-site walking trail and convenience cafeteria. Responsibility: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments. Job Duties: Must be aware of and comply with related ISO/IATF procedures, as applicable. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Provide technical assistance on new or existing equipment. Understand and carry out routine written and oral instructions and work with little or no supervision. Complete stock requisitions to maintain maintenance supply inventories. Recommend and perform preventative maintenance procedures. Perform Confined Space Entries following all necessary procedures and policies. Assists in the removal of snow (shoveling, snow blowing, salting, truck plowing etc.). Is trained and participates as a member of the Company’s Fire Brigade Team and First Aid Team. Education/ Skill Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum three years of related experience and/or training in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possess high mechanical ability and a working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, welding, soldering, and other related skills. Must have experience with both installing and repairing various industrial plumbing processes. Able to communicate effectively in English both written and orally. Must have a valid driver’s license with no violations. Physical Demands: Position requires individual to be capable of working throughout the facility, within reasonable accommodation. Frequently required to walk and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
