We do offer per diem for those that qualify.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electrical Quality Specialist to join our Engineer’s Construction Management Team for heavy industrial construction projects. The Electrical Quality Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our construction contractors adhere to a high standard of quality through all phases of the project. This includes field engineering, construction execution, startup, and warranty phases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and control in heavy industrial settings, specifically within the power generation sector. The Electrical QAQC Specialist will play a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring the peak performance, reliability, and safety of our client's projects. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Quality Assurance Management: Review and oversee the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program for all project phases, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, design documents, and applicable codes and standards. </li>\n <li>Contractor Audits: Conduct regular audits of contractor activities to verify conformity with design documents and project specifications. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement as necessary. </li>\n <li>Document Control: Ensure that contractors are utilizing the latest revisions of design documents, maintaining accurate records of changes and updates throughout the project lifecycle.</li>\n <li>Ensure the installed progress and work product are in line with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements. Highlight any variances or changes in the work placement.</li>\n <li>Track work progress and highlight key activity development in daily reports. </li>\n <li>Support our partners and project stakeholders at each project are communicating early and often when problems arise and be able to find creative solutions to project challenges. </li>\n <li>Material & Equipment Oversight: Monitor the proper storage and maintenance of materials and equipment to be incorporated into the project, ensuring they meet quality standards prior to installation.</li>\n <li>Construction Testing Reviews: Review and evaluate construction test reports and compliance documentation, including welding, concrete tests, non-destructive examination (NDE) tests, welding procedures, and welder qualifications to ensure adherence to quality standards. </li>\n <li>Quality Monitoring: Provide oversight of construction activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards for but not limited to soils compaction, concrete placement, structural steel bolt-up, rotating equipment alignment, and electrical cable testing.</li>\n <li>Documentation of Quality Records: Ensure that all quality records and \"as-built\" documentation are properly maintained, documented, and easily accessible. </li>\n <li>Audit Reporting: Compile and report quality audit results and performance metrics to project management and stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions where necessary. </li>\n <li>Pre-Planning Support: Assist contractors in pre-planning their quality control processes and activities to foster a culture of quality from the outset of construction. </li>\n <li>Inspection Observations: Document test and inspection observations accurately, including any deviations or non-conformances identified during the inspection process. </li>\n <li>Non-Conformance Management: Track and follow up on non-conformance reports, ensuring that corrective actions are taken and documented in a timely manner. </li>\n <li>Performance Statistics: Regularly summarize and report on QA/QC performance statistics for the project to management and stakeholders, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Provide interface between contractors/subcontractors and client.</li>\n <li>Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, prioritizing employee well-being and compliance with industry regulations. </li>\n <li>Maintain comprehensive records of all quality activities, inspections, equipment condition, and performance metrics for compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement purposes.</li>\n <li>Provide technical leadership, support, and guidance to plant operators, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical quality assurance, operations, and maintenance within the power generation industry, with a proven track record of successful projects. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with industry regulations, industry codes & standards, and best practices related to power plant construction, operations, maintenance, and safety. \n  <ul>\n   <li>NFPA</li>\n   <li>NEMA</li>\n   <li>OSHA</li>\n   <li>NEC</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. </li>\n <li>Willingness to travel and work in various locations across the United States as required. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Award-Winning Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
